Capping off a big weekend in Toronto, it’s time for NXT Heatwave 2024 results, with many wondering-did Trick Williams survive and retain?

- Oba Femi retains his NXT North American Championship over Wes Lee. I forgot just how much I missed Wes Lee. And, in spite of the massive size and strength disadvantage, the talented Lee nearly absorbed all the abuse and overcame. In the end, Oba retains, and Wes Lee will address his future on Tuesday.
- Kelani Jordan enjoys a successful defense of her NXT Women’s North American Championship, defeating Sol Ruca. Really strong and competitive match. I enjoyed the show of respect at the end between the two.
- Axiom and Nathan Frazer manage to coexist and retain their tag titles, defeating Chase University. I really wanted to see Duke and Andre pull this one out, but in spite of coming up short, this was an entertaining NXT tag title tilt.
- Roxanne Perez takes care of business and retains against Lola Vice. Really good match from both. I have to give them credit, the crowd was kind of spent at the beginning following that tag match, but the two Superstars worked hard, got the crowd into it and delivered a strong match here. Lola deserves another shot, but Roxanne may have someone big coming in.
- Ethan Page gets knocked out but it works out, as he falls onto Je’Von Evans to secure the pin and the title win in our fatal fourway main event. Trick Williams hit a couple trick shots, putting Evans on his back, then Page onto his-but on top of Evans too. Shawn Spears kept Williams from breaking up the pin, and All Ego Ethan Page is your new NXT Champion.

Well, that was one heck of a way to wrap up three WWE nights in Toronto, wasn’t it? Hot Heatwave, for sure. Honestly, it was a numbers thing for me. As you saw each and every champion retain, I was more and more thinking that Trick would see his time run out tonight. And it did, in a most unique way. Honestly wouldn’t have been upset with Shawn Spears finally tasting NXT gold. Je’Von showed he belongs, and he would have been a fine winner too. I’d bet he will have his time soon enough. For now, Ethan Page can’t believe he’s the champion, and Trick Williams is one ticked off Superstar. Could this lead to a bit of a turn for Williams? Stay tuned.
Oh, and as we were fading out? Just a little Joe Hendry/TNA teaser, nothing much. Talk about a heck of an NXT Heatwave 2024 edition.
