Renowned modernist architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen is best remembered for designing homes for everyone from Jackie Kennedy Onassis to Meryl Streep. Now, one of his final creations in Vero Beach, Florida, has hit the market for $11.5 million.

Tucked inside Windsor, a luxury residential community and sporting club, the coastal compound at 3335 Abercrombie Way was completed in 2013, eight years before Jacobsen’s passing. The sprawling estate, with views over the community’s large lake and equestrian center, is spread across three contiguous lots and comprises a three-bedroom main house, an open-air summer pavilion, and two separate two-story guest cottages, with with two ensuite bedrooms. Altogether, there’s a whopping 19,000 square feet of living space with seven bedrooms and nine full bathrooms, plus three half-baths.

The property itself is an excellent example of the architect’s signature style, most notable for its clean lines, steep-pitched roofs, and open floor plan. The main house in particular sports an immense glass wall that connects the indoor and outdoor spaces, which includes a loggia and a lush trellised garden. Elsewhere, the ground floor holds a double-height living room with a fireplace, an eat-in kitchen, a summer kitchen, and a giant 40-foot swimming pool out back.

Meanwhile, the primary bedroom has its own private wing on the first level, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the central courtyard, an ensuite bath, and several generously sized closets. Upstairs, the second floor offers two additional guest suites, both of which are decked out with ensuite baths and private balconies.

Windsor was originally developed in 1990 by Galen and Hilary Weston, the founders of Selfridges. Today, the exclusive enclave is home to 350 homesites ranging from cottages to beachfront estates and recently entered its final phase with the addition of The North Village. For the athletic types, there’s a little bit of something for everyone, including an 18-hole links-style course designed by Robert Trent Jones, a 400-yard driving range, recreational horseback riding, a full-sized polo field, and eight outdoor Har-Tru tennis courts designed by Wimbledon champ Stan Smith.

According to the listing, which is being represented by Windsor Real Estate, the star-studded community along the Atlantic coast has hosted royalty and celebrities alike. In fact, Ivan Lendl and the Swarovski family are said to be residents of Windsor, while King Charles, Nacho Figueras, and chef Marcus Samuelsson have previously visited the property.
