It is clear to anyone who watches the Muslim World that religious conservatism and Islamic
fundamentalism have revived in the last decade. They continue to strengthen themselves
beneath the surface and sometimes burst out as in Iran and lately in Saudi Arabia. This
strengthening is still growing in the hearts of the masses and waiting for external occasions
