Katri was a Mirialan Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Order's Jedi High Council.[2] Between 68 BBY and 42 BBY,[1] she was killed by a group of security guards on Raxus Secundus, and her death was investigated by Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Dooku. Her seat on the Jedi Council was awarded to Windu.[2]

Qui-Gon Jinn is forty years old in Master & Apprentice, and also states he became Dooku's apprentice at twelve, which means he became an apprentice 28 years before 40 BBY, or 68 BBY. Also The Star Wars Book places Dooku's departure from the Jedi Order to forty-two years before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 42 BBY according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. Therefore, the events of "Choices" takes place between these years.
