LEGO Star Wars Battles (LSWB) is a real-time player-versus-player mobile game made by Playdemic. With battlefields set across the galaxy, an array of Star Wars characters and vehicles may be selected by players for battle against other players.[2]
On September 3, 2019, the game was announced for a 2020 release.[2] StarWars.com formerly included the text "coming 2020," but after the year ended without an official release, it changed to "coming soon."[6] However, the game beta and later the game itself was released in various countries. In the game beta, players chose their user names from randomized combinations of an adjective, a species name, and a two-digit number. In late May of 2021, an in-game message announced that the game is set to be closed officially on July 1 of that year.[4] On August 30, the game was announced for official release.[5] On September 24, 2021, the game was released exclusively on Apple Arcade.[3]
