J-Lo Shares a Cryptic Post About Being ‘Better Off Without Him’ Amid Ben Affleck Divorce Rumors
It could be nothing, but Jennifer Lopez shared lyrics about a breakup amid the rumors her marriage to Ben Affleck is circling the drain. Because neither of them has commented publicly on their alleged impending split, the public is well and truly clutching at any straw they can get.
On July 7, 2024, Lopez shared a clip of her 2021 music video for “Cambia el Paso” on Instagram, celebrating the song’s third anniversary. It’s a collaboration with Rauw Alejandro written in Spanish, released originally in 2021.

The lyrics though, are curious. “He doesn’t deserve to have her in his arms / She knows that, she knows that,” she sings in the intro. Later in the first verse, she sings, “Her life is better now without him / She knows that her hips don’t fail her.”
The comments section of the post was full of support for the pop music icon. “if something’s not feeling right, whatever it is in your life, just make that change, move, and dance,” one supporter wrote. “Don’t worry about anyone and just focus on your path. Don’t stop dancing, be happy,” a second fan commented.
While some are interpreting this as a hint that the Affleck divorce rumors are true, it’s more likely the song is in reference to her split from Alex Rodriguez in April 2021. “She has been pretty miserable and didn’t think it was in her best interests to stay with Alex,” an unnamed source told People at the time.
