Sam McKinney, a 27-year-old Contractor from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is one of 25 contestants on The Bachelorette Season 21. Sam—also known as Sam M.—is one of two Sams on Jenn’s Bachelorette season, along with Samaun “Sam” Nejad (Sam N.), a 25-year-old Entrepreneur from Carlsbad, California.

Jenn gave Sam M. the First Impression Rose on Night One of The Bachelorette Season 21, according to Reality Steve, which made him immune to elimination at the Rose Ceremony and move on to Week 2. In fact, Sam didn’t even make it to Jenn’s final two. Jenn’s winner was Devin Strader, a 28-year-old Freight Company Owner from Rosenberg, Texas, while her runner-up was Marcus Shoberg, an Army Ranger Veteran from Cloquet, Minnesota.

Sam M. also doesn’t make it to Jenn’s final four. Her fourth place finalist was Jeremy Simon, a 29-year-old Real Estate Investor from Fairfield, Connecticut, and her third place finalist was Jonathon Johnson, a 27-year-old Creative Director from Kansas City, Missouri. Given that Sam didn’t win The Bachelorette Season 21, that means that he doesn’t follow the pattern of past First Impression Rose recipients who have went on to win The Bachelorette.
