So many recent changes in the cosmos may have left you wondering what will be in store for you this summer. You may feel like something incredible is about to happen, so it will be exciting to see how the full moon in Capricorn 2024 will affect each zodiac sign. Since this full moon—a.k.a. the “Strawberry Moon”will rise at the beginning of Cancer season, the cosmic energy will bring you down memory lane. Although each full moon has a sentimental vibe, this one will certainly hit differently as you look toward the future.

As each full moon passes, this marks an event occurring in the natural world. Since full moons represent peak periods that often correlate with wildlife and nature, this full moon in Capricorn will be known as the Strawberry Moon. You might initially think that this moon will have a pinkish hue given its name. In reality, the Strawberry Moon corresponds with the strawberry season, which typically occurs in late June. It might be the perfect time to go berry picking! Strawberries could even be the perfect addition to your lunar ritual and full moon magic.

On June 21, the full moon in Capricorn will peak at 9:07 p.m. ET, which will occur at 1 degree. It might be hard to fall asleep since you’ll be caught up in your memories from this recent lunar cycle. As you decompress from your busy day, you may feel relatively accomplished with how you’ve handled yourself. The hardworking Capricorn energy could bring out your inner pessimist if you choose to focus on your failures and missteps. Overcome your inner pessimist by taking pride in your accomplishments.

This full moon in Capricorn will be special! It’s not very often that a full moon occurs right after the summer solstice, which happened when Cancer season began on June 20. As an old cycle ends, the new season invokes a fresh start. Summertime will be promising, especially with the new cosmic energy settling in. This could be the start of something exciting if you want to capitalize on it.

A deep sense of responsibility will be present since the full moon will answer to Saturn, the ruling planet of Capricorn. Saturn’s energy will bode stoicism, pragmatism, and authority. As another chapter closes, Saturn will ask you the hard-hitting questions. Did you accomplish what you had set out to do? Were you practical and productive? Are you in charge of your destiny? Regardless of how you answer Saturn’s questions, Saturn will remind you to pick yourself up by the bootstraps.

The most prominent aspect of this cosmic event will occur when the full moon in Capricorn opposes the sun in Cancer. You might feel more aware of the time that has passed when the Capricorn-Cancer axis is activated. Nostalgia may surface as you consider what you haven’t completed in the last six months. Instead of crying about your missed opportunities, the Cancer-Capricorn energy can encourage you to be more accountable and emotionally invested in your goals. You have exactly one more month until the next full moon in Capricorn, so don’t waste this second chance to rise to the occasion.

Aside from the sun-moon opposition, the full moon will create an out-of-bounds square with Neptune in Pisces. What does this unique phenomenon entail? In traditional astrology, “out-of-bounds” occurs when a planet goes beyond the sun’s north or south declination of 23 degrees and 27 minutes. Basically, the out-of-bounds planet is going against the sun’s ecliptic boundaries. When this happens, the out-of-bounds planet becomes a cosmic rogue. One way to tell if there’s an out-of-bounds transit is if there is an atypical aspect. Usually, a square wouldn’t occur between a full moon in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces. These two heavenly bodies would have a harmonious aspect known as a sextile. But given the moon’s degrees, Luna will be out-of-bounds and form an unlikely square with Neptune in Pisces.

What can you expect from this out-of-bounds square? Squares are typically a point of tension, so the moon and Neptune are at odds with one another. Since Luna is behaving rather erratically and dramatically, there might be an uneasy feeling throughout the day. Emotional insecurity will rise, especially if someone makes you feel bad about how you choose to react. You might also struggle with the end of something since full moons represent a time of completion. Work on surrendering and letting go instead of deluding yourself into believing a different outcome will occur. Overall, expect to be emotionally messy during this full moon. Retreat if you feel overwhelmed by the lunar energy.
