Former ‘Fox & Friends’ host Abby Huntsman joins ‘The View’

Abby Huntsman has found a new gig.

Huntsman and ABC announced on Tuesday that the former “Fox & Friends Weekend” host would be Sara Haines’ replacement on “The View.”

“I couldn’t be more be excited to return to my professional roots at ABC News,” Huntsman, who began her career at ABC, said in a statement. “I look forward to adding my own point of view to the most interesting and successful talk show on television today. Joining the women at ‘The View’ really is a dream come true!”

Hilary Estey McLoughlin, the show’s senior executive producer, said Huntsman “brings her unique life and professional experiences and has a smart, relatable and distinctive point of view on everything from pop culture to politics to parenthood.”

Huntsman, who earlier this month was speculated to be replacing Haines, will be joining Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and fellow conservative voice Meghan McCain.

Abby Huntsman’s father, Jon Huntsman Jr., serves as US ambassador to Russia under President Donald Trump.

Season 22 of “The View” premieres on Sept. 4. Haines is heading to ABC’s “Good Morning America” to lead the new third hour with Michael Strahan.
