Had a stereo setup with 2 HomePods. Now after 4 yrs. one quit working completely for no apparent reason. I've tried all of the repair instructions I could find online to no avail. I paid 300. each for them and would have to pay almost as much to have it repaired. I gave my stereo system away which was still working after 20 + yrs. due to getting this piece of junk. I see this problem is not common to me through my research online. I thought Apple made quality products but now I'm not so sure. Good luck if you get one of these. You've been warned.

First off, let me reprimand Amazon for burying the link to Homepod in favor of showing their own junk "smart" speakers. As for HomePod, even though I'm an Apple Fanboy HomePod is a disaster. The software has been out for 5 years as of this writing and you have to reboot it at least daily. I'm constatly being told the HomePod isn't on the same network as the iPhone so I have to go through a whole re-boot process to fix it. It's intended to do everything by voice but Siri can't understand the same commands from time to time. When I tell Siri to play a certain podcast, sometimes it works, other times it plays a strange music track. There are no controls, just a wierd glowing top that looks like an alien spaceship. It's so minimalist there isn't even any Apple branding (except on the bottom). Save your money and buyg a good bluetooth speaker. Incidentally, earlier I bought two HomePod minis and they failed within 30 days. They were returned for a refund.

It’s insanely annoying how even when all my apple devices individually have ALL handoff and otherwise audio sharing capabilities turned OFF (to the extent that they can be) between my watch computer and phone all of them interrupt my mac computer from just simply playing music to the HomePod. I was mildly afraid of this before purchasing. As suspected I suppose. My intuitions were correct. If you have apple iphone , watch, computer , etc. PASS on this. It’s infuriating to even try and deal with
