 25. Angela Rizzoli (Rizzoli and Isles)

Behind the sophisticated medical examiner and scrappy cop that make up Rizzoli and Isles’ main characters is Angela Rizzoli. Jane may be an adult, but that doesn’t stop Angela from being a mother hen in any way possible–including guilt tripping Jane by reminding her of her stretch marks.

26. Frankie Heck (The Middle)

Frankie Heck does her best to manage her three kids, and her husband, but often her efforts end in calamity. While the family often laughs at their mishaps, The Hecks are just a prime example of what it means to be a family in the 21st century.

28. Norma Bates (Bates Motel)

It’s hard to classify Norma Bates. She is very possessive and protective of her son Norman to the point where it crosses many lines, throwing parental boundaries out the window.

30. Angela Rance (The Exorcist)

When Fox brought back The Exorcist, as a TV series they introduced a new family. Angela is convinced there is a demon in her house, trying to “take” her daughter Kat who wasn’t coping well with the death of her friend.

Angela’s unyielding faith causes her to push for an exorcism, and later offer herself to the demon in order to save her daughter’s life. An offer that could result in an irreversible integration with no hope of saving Angela.
