We’ve had so much fun celebrating our favorite TV couple with our fourth annual Battle of the Ships! After three rounds of voting, the results are in. Are you ready?

For the past few weeks, our readers have voted for the couples they most want to see get back together, the couples they’d most like to see become a reality, and of course the Ship of the Year.

As usual, for Ship of the Year, the first two rounds included three separate polls, based on genre. For the third round, the top choices in each of those categories were combined. 

Some of the couples that made it to the final round this year included Cheryl and Toni (Riverdale), Eric and Adam (Sex Education), Maddie and Chimney (9-1-1), Max and Lucas (Stranger Things), Ruzek and Burgess (Chicago P.D.), Steve and Nancy (Stranger Things), Anne Lister and Ann Walker (Gentleman Jack), Carina and Maya (Station 19), Emily and Sue (Dickinson), Harley and Ivy (Harley Quinn), Jake and Amy (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Jay and Hailey (Chicago P.D.), Juliette and Cal (First Kill), Lucifer and Chloe (Lucifer), and Raelle and Scylla (Motherland: Fort Salem).

Category #1: TV Couple You’d Most Like to See Get Back Together

For this category, the couples listed must be on a TV show that is currently airing, and both characters must technically still be on the show.

What characters do you want to see just get together as a couple already? For this category, the shows must have aired within the time frame and characters must currently be on the given show.

  • WINNER: Stabler and Benson (Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: OC)
  • Second place: Caitlyn and Vi (Arcane) 
  • Third place: Jo and Link (Grey’s Anatomy)

For this category, ships must come from a series that aired between August 2021 and July 2022, and characters must have been on the show during that timeframe. Additionally, ships in this category cannot appear in other categories.

  • Second place: Carina and Maya (Station 19) 
  • Third place: Juliette and Cal (First Kill)
