Sex Education Season 4 Trailer Released by Netflix

What will Sex Education‘s ensemble do for love before the final bell rings?

Moordale Secondary’s doors are closed, but there are new problems, new relationships, and a new sex therapist at Cavendish Sixth Form College. The two-minute trailer shows how those obstacles make Otis nervous about setting up a new clinic during the show’s fourth and final season.

Sex Education‘s eight-episode Season 4 premieres on Thursday, September 21, on Netflix. The streaming service announced that the coming-of-age dramedy would end with its upcoming season when it released the teaser trailer in July 2023.

While Eric prays him and Otis won’t be losers at this new school, “Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach,” and “Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal,” per the season’s description.

“Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy.” The former sees Aimee paint a picture of boobs, and Adam spends time with horses.

The latter introduces a new character to the mix. Netflix announced in August 2022 that Dan Levy would portray Maeve’s tutor on Sex Education‘s upcoming season, and this trailer gives a glimpse at the actor at work.

New cast members on Sex Education Season 4 also include Lisa McGrillis, Marie Reuther, Jodie Turner Smith, Eshaan Akbar, and newcomers Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean, and Imani Yahshua.

The trailer also shows that distance may make the heart grow fonder as Otis pines for Maeve while she’s away. Their attempts at long distance appear to be an adjustment for Otis, which compounds with another one at home — the new baby.

Sex Education‘s trailer reveals that Jakob Nyman left Jean when he learned he is not the biological father. Season 4 will surely illuminate more details of that story, but that could explain key characters’ absence from the teen show’s final outing.

As previously reported, Patricia Allison will not return as Ola Nyman. Tanya Reynolds and Simone Ashley are not returning as Lily Iglehart and Olivia Hanan, respectively. 

Sex Education‘s returning cast includes Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar, and Daniel Ings.

Sex Education was created by lead writer and executive producer Laurie Nunn.

“We are incredibly proud of Sex Education and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast, and crew who put so much heart into making every episode. They have worked tirelessly to bring you the final series, and we can’t wait to share it with you,” Nunn said when Netflix announced the show’s final season.

The fourth and final season’s writers are Troy Hunter, Krishna Istha, Selina Lim, Ethan Harvey, Annalisa Dinnella, Bella Heesom, and Thara Popoola. Dominic Leclerc, Michelle Savill, and Alyssa McClelland are the season’s directors.

Jamie Campbell, Ben Taylor, and Clare Couchman executive produce the show. Callum Devrell-Cameron is a series producer, and Rem Conway produces.
