The Gary Oldman-led dramatic thriller is coming back to Apple TV+ in December.

Slow Horses Season 3 makes a two-episode premiere on Friday, December 1, followed by one new episode weekly through December 29 on Apple TV+.

The espionage drama’s six-episode third season is adapted from Real Tigers, the third novel in Mick Herron’s spy series Slough House.

Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, “the brilliant but misanthropic leader of the spies.” He leads a team of British intelligence agents “who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes,” per Slow Horses‘ description.

The ensemble of spies navigate the espionage world and defend England from sinister forces.

Alongside Oldman, the Apple TV+ series stars Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Jonathan Pryce.

“A romantic liaison in Istanbul threatens to expose a buried MI5 secret in London” on Slow Horses Season 3. “When Jackson Lamb and his team of misfits are dragged into the fight, they find themselves caught in a conspiracy that threatens the future not just of Slough House but of MI5 itself,” per the season’s synopsis.
