Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 Trailer: Meredith is Back, Teddy is in Critical Condition
Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 will pick up where things left off last season, and after an extra long wait, we’ll find out what comes next after the Season 19 finale’s major cliffhangers. The new season premieres March 14th on ABC.
The trailer below reveals the return of Meredith Grey, who asks, “How long do I have to wait?” It appears she’s asking that question of Catherine Avery.
Ellen Pompeo’s role will remain scaled back as it was in Season 19, however. She is no longer a series regular but will continue to narrate and serve as executive producer. And from the looks of the trailer, we’ll still have plenty of opportunity to follow her story.
Meanwhile, the interns are in trouble, with Scott Speedman’s Nick asking which one of them he needs to fire. Jo and Link also pick up where they left off after finally declaring they love each other.
They aren’t the only budding new romance, though. We’ll also find out what’s next for Lucas and Simone. Could they really begin a relationship so quickly after Simone left her fiance at the altar?
The biggest cliffhanger, however, is whether or not Teddy Altman will be okay after her collapse in the OR. The trailer reveals her to be in critical condition.
There’s also the question of how Richard will deal with his sobriety, something the finale revealed him to be struggling with once again. This could have a significant impact on his character this season and could become one of the most tragic storylines, depending on the choices he makes.
