Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of December 24th! Our picks this week include some fun holiday events, premieres, and bittersweet finales.

This week, we feature Doctor Who, Letterkenny, Berlin, and more!

The Curse – Sunday, December 24th

Asher’s past comes to light, creating some conflicts. Meanwhile, Whitney and Cara find themselves growing closer together. The Curse airs Sunday, December 24th on Showtime.

A Christmas Letter – Sunday, December 24th

When young Sam wants to meet Santa, she decides to write him a ton of letters and then enlists the adults around her to help follow them to the North Pole. Along the way, Leslie manages to find her Mr. Right. A Christmas Letter premieres Sunday, December 24th at 7/6c on UPtv.

Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road – Monday, December 25th

Ncuti Gatwa Doctor Who Christmas Special

Ncuti Gatwa takes over as the 15th Doctor with the latest Christmas Special. Ruby Sunday runs into the Doctor and helps him defeat some goblins, find stolen babies, and learn more about her origins. Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road premieres Monday, December 25th on Disney+.

Special Episode Description: Long ago on Christmas Eve, a baby was abandoned in the snow. Today, Ruby Sunday meets the Doctor, stolen babies, goblins and perhaps the secret of her birth.

Letterkenny – Tuesday, December 26th

This Canadian sitcom classic returns for its 12th and final season. To kick things off, MoDean decides to host a night of stand-up with the gang all participating. Letterkenny premieres Tuesday, December 26th on Hulu.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians – Tuesday, December 26th

The quest to find Zeus’ lightning bolt and return it to the god continues as Percy and his friends venture into another realm. Percy Jackson and the Olympians airs Tuesday, December 26th at 9/8c on Disney+.

Series Description: 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, is coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god, Zeus, accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt; with his friend’s help, Percy must restore order to Olympus.

The 46th Annual Kennedy Center Honors – Wednesday, December 27th

For the 46th year in a row, people across the entertainment industry come together to honor some of their own. This year’s honorees include Billy Crystal, Renée Fleming, Barry Gibb, Queen Latifah, and Dionne Warwick, with Gloria Estefan hosting. The 46th Annual Kennedy Center Honors airs Wednesday, December 27th at 9/8c on CBS.

Special Event Description: Entertainers receive recognition at the annual ceremony; the year’s honorees are comic Billy Crystal, soprano Renée Fleming, singer-songwriter Barry Gibb, actress Queen Latifah and singer Dionne Warwick; Gloria Estefan hosts.

Slow Horses – Wednesday, December 27th

On the Season 3 finale, the Slow Horses face off against Duffy and Chieftain as Tearney tries to ensure the truth about Alison’s death never gets out. Slow Horses Season 3 finale airs Wednesday, December 27th on Apple TV+.

Episode Description: Season finale. The Slow Horses fight for their lives. Lamb shares some devastating truths with Catherine.

Pokémon Concierge – Thursday, December 28th

The latest Netflix Pokémon series takes place at a resort and shows the various Pokémon relaxing and having a good time. Pokémon Concierge premieres Thursday, December 29th on Netflix.

Series Description: With the help of concierge Haru, Pokémon relax and have fun at the Pokémon Resort.

For All Mankind – Friday, December 29th

Now that the workers’ strike at Helios is over, will things get back to business, or will the Mars team continue to see a disconnect between them and the crew back on Earth? For All Mankind airs Friday, December 29th on Apple TV+.

Season Description: An accident on Mars strains relationships, while Miles embarks on a risky venture. A discovery sends teams across Earth and Mars scrambling for answers. Unlikely partnerships are formed at a high-stakes international conference. A group on Mars takes drastic measures.

Berlin – Friday, December 29th

Part of the Money Heist universe, this installment follows Berlin as he gathers up a team for the best heist yet: making jewels worth 44 million disappear.  Berlin premieres Friday, December 29th on Netflix.

Series Description: There are only two things that are sure to turn a bad day into a great one: love, and a payday worth millions. They’re what keep Berlin going through his golden years, a time when he still has no inkling of his illness and hasn’t gotten trapped like a rat in the Spanish Mint. This is where he starts preparing one of his most extraordinary heists: making jewels worth 44 million disappear like some sort of magic trick. To do it, he’ll enlist the help of one of the three gangs he’s ever stolen with.
