Abbott Elementary Renewed for Season 4 at ABC
School is staying in session at Abbott Elementary!
The critically acclaimed comedy series has been renewed for Season 4 on ABC.
William Stanford Davis made the announcement in character as Abbott Elementary‘s very own Mr. Johnson at the 2024 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour on Saturday, February 10.

This exciting news comes on the heels of the comedy show’s return with Abbott Elementary Season 3 Episodes 1 and 2, “Career Day Part 1 / Career Day Part 2,” on Wednesday, February 7, on ABC.
It also comes after the show’s nominations and wins at the 75th Primetime Emmy® Awards.
Quinta Brunson took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Janine Teagues.
Abbott Elementary‘s sophomore season “delivered a 3.56 rating in Adults 18-49 after 35 days of viewing across platforms, marking the strongest season average for an ABC comedy since the 2019-2020 season and ranking as ABC’s No. 1 multiplatform series,” per ABC.

The show returns with Abbott Elementary Season 3 Episode 3, “Gregory’s Garden Goofballs,” on Wednesday, February 14, at 9/8c on ABC.
The episode will see Gregory become hesitant when the kids who start eating lunch in his classroom ask him for advice and view him as the “cool teacher.”
Meanwhile, Abbott Elementary will find Barbara shocked when she discovers that Tariq is dating one of her student’s mothers. Janine and Jacob will try to hire an ASL interpreter for a student in Jacob’s class.
That’s right! “Gregory’s Garden Goofballs” will feature the return of Zack Fox as Tariq.

Brunson, Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker of Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions, Randall Einhorn, and Brian Rubenstein are executive producers on Abbott Elementary.
The comedy’s cast also includes Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson, and Emmy Award-winner Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard.
Abbott Elementary Season 3 airs on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu.
