Preview — Apples Never Fall Brings Another Liane Moriarty Bestseller to Our Screens
Mark your calendars: The latest buzzy adaptation of a Liane Moriarty bestseller is about to arrive on our screens. This time, in the form of Peacock’s new limited series, Apples Never Fall, based on the author’s 2021 bestseller of the same name.
Like Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers before it, Apples Never Fall wrestles with complex family dynamics, buried secrets, and deeply messy people who often hide key aspects of who they really are.
Sam Neill and Annette Bening star as Stan and Joy Delaney, successful former heads of a tennis academy who are ready to start their retirement together.
But when Joy mysteriously disappears, things in the Delaney family get complicated quickly, as their four adult children — played by Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Conor Merrigan-Turner, and Essie Randle — debate whether or not to report her missing.
Why? Because it’s obvious the prime suspect in her disappearance would be their father, and they’re not entirely sure he’s innocent. Check out the photos and promo video below for a preview!
Series description: Based on Liane Moriarty’s New York Times bestselling novel, Apples Never Fall centers on the seemingly picture-perfect Delaney family. Former tennis coaches Stan and Joy have sold their successful tennis academy and are ready to start what should be the golden years of their lives. While they look forward to spending time with their four adult children, everything changes when a wounded young woman knocks on Joy and Stan’s door, bringing the excitement they’ve been missing. But when Joy suddenly disappears, her children are forced to re-examine their parents’ so-called perfect marriage as their family’s darkest secrets begin to surface.
