Preview — Acapulco Season 3: New Beginnings and New Rivals

Acapulco, Previews

Apple TV+’s nostalgic comedy, Acapulco, is back for its third season, and a new rival may complicate Máximo’s plans.

Acapulco Season 2 ended with everyone getting what they wanted in the past timeline and a pretty big twist in the present day one.

In the past timeline, Máximo not only got his job back but was also promoted to Don Pablo’s assistant so he could start training to take over for him someday.

Even more exciting for all the Juila/Máximo shippers, Julia tells Máximo that she wants to be with him, making that ship official for Season 2.

Máximo wasn’t the only one who got a happy ending either. Memo gets back together with his girlfriend, Nora, and Esteban get married; Chad goes off to find his own path, and Diane tells Julia that she wants to expand their deal to sell Julia’s clothing line at the resort.

Everything seems to be wrapped up in a pretty little bow. But, of course, we know from the present timeline that things don’t turn out that simple. And just to throw in a bit of extra drama, the finale ends on a major cliffhanger, revealing that Máximo has a daughter living in Acapulco.

Is Julia the mother of Máximo’s daughter, or will we meet another love interest for Máximo this season? Why is Máximo’s daughter living in Acapulco, and when was the last time he saw her? Does Hugo not know about his cousin, or is the implication that she hasn’t been in Máximo’s life just a red herring?

It’s not just Máximo’s personal life that is about to be shaken up either. Just as things start to come together for younger Máximo professionally, a new rival will enter the scene. Memo’s sister joins the staff of Las Colinas and looks to be gunning for Máximo’s job.

It’s only a matter of time before Máximo’s personal and professional lives collide, and he has to make a choice about his priorities. Given what older Máximo has said in the present timeline, young Máximo might not make the right choice.
