Descendants: The Rise Of Red Trailer Released by Disney+

News

The Descendants franchise is going to Wonderland — and back in time with the Disney Original movie Descendants: The Rise of Red.

The latest trailer, which introduces former Villian Kid (VK) Uma (China Anne McClain) as Auradon Prep’s new principal, debuted on Good Morning America. It appears that Uma performs her iconic song “What’s My Name” from 2017’s Descendants 2 to introduce herself to the student body.

Then, much to Fairy Godmother’s (Melanie Paxson) dismay, Uma declares that the school will be open to all the kingdoms, inviting Princess Red from Wonderland. Descendants: The Rise of Red premieres on Friday, July 12, exclusively on Disney+, with a special encore on Friday, August 9 at 8/7c on Disney Channel.

Additionally, the new Descendants movie stars Jeremy Swift as Merlin, Ruby Rose Turner as Bridget, Morgan Dudley as Ella, Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter, Joshua Colley as Hook, and Peder Lindell as Morgey.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series‘ Dara Reneé portrays Ursula’s younger sister, Uliana, who is a key figure in Bridget’s life at the Merlin Academy.
