Happy’s Place, Starring Reba McEntire, Ordered to Series at NBC
NBC’s 2024/2025 comedy programming slate has been confirmed!
Happy’s Place, starring Reba McEntire, officially joins the line-up alongside Lopez vs. Lopez and Night Court.
Night Court received its Season 3 renewal earlier this month, according to Deadline. Alternatively, the comedy series Extended Family has been canceled after one season on NBC, per TV Line.

The network renewed Lopez vs. Lopez, starring George Lopez and his daughter Mayan, for its third season yesterday, citing the series as having “reached nearly 10 million total viewers across all platforms.”
The series that puts “fun back in dysfunctional family” concluded its sophomore season with Lopez vs. Lopez Season 2 Episode 10, “Lopez vs. George,” on Tuesday, April 30. During which, the Lopez family experienced a few big changes, including George taking his first step in sobriety.
Lopez vs. Lopez was co-created by showrunner Debby Wolfe, who executive produces with Bruce Helford, George Lopez, Michael Rotenberg, and Katie Newman. The series stars Selenis Leyva, Matt Shively, Brice Gonzalez, and Al Madrigal.
Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Mohawk Productions, Travieso Productions, Mi Vida Loba, and 3 Arts produce the family comedy.

Meanwhile, NBC will stage a Reba reunion with Happy’s Place, reuniting Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman more than 17 years after the series ended on The CW. Reba, which debuted on The WB, aired for six seasons and 125 episodes from 2001 to 2007. The series recently started streaming on Netflix.
On Happy’s Place, McEntire stars as Bobbie, who “inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had,” per its synopsis. Kevin Abbott, who executive produced Reba, writes and executive produces the new multi-cam comedy.
The series also stars Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn. NBC shared a video of the cast at a Happy’s Place table read on Instagram with the caption, “We’re cookin’ up something special.” McEntire shared a photo on X, writing, “We’ll see you at #HappysPlace on @nbc soon!”
Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Julie Abbott, and Reba McEntire executive produce the show. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces Happy’s Place.
