Will Trent Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Do You See the Vision?

Reviews, Will Trent

Will Trent ends on a major high with a season finale that leaves you shocked. 2025 can’t come sooner. Will Trent Season 2 Episode 10, “Do You See The Vision?” has some predictable moments but so many surprising ones.

It’s those moments that elevate this episode and prove without a shadow of a doubt that Season 2 far surpasses Season 1 in terms of storytelling, acting, and overall quality. I say this as someone who loves Season 1, but Season 2 just hits differently.

As predicted after Will Trent Season 2 Episode 9, “Residente o Visitante,” Crystal is the killer. However, we don’t expect all the consequences because of it. Her death also comes as a major — and devastating — shock.

Then, Angie’s consequences from helping Crystal also add an extra layer of surprise. In fact, I completely forgot that Will didn’t know the truth about Angie, Crystal, and Lenny.

Will Trent does an amazing job of conveying Will’s dilemma. And Ramon Rodriguez delivers another excellent performance. Get that man an Emmy nomination.

Will desperately wants to pick Angie and their life together, but he can’t be that person. He can’t be someone who plays fast and loose with right and wrong.

That’s how people get hurt. We see it with the repercussions of Angie lying about Lenny’s death. Additionally, Amanda’s storyline from Will Trent Season 2 Episode 5, “Capt. Duke Wagner’s Daughter” shows how committing crimes, even for the right reasons, isn’t without dangerous blowback.

Will Trent smartly allows us to embrace Angie and Will’s future. First, when they casually talk about children and the metaphorical significance of building the dining table. They are laying the groundwork for a happy ending for them.

You have to admire the show for getting us rooting for them, only to tear it away. It’s a respectable move that hurts in a brilliant, admirable way.

Then it plays with us again by showing what if Will asks Angie to marry him instead of having her arrested. It’s a pretty picture that could have been nice. Now, it’s all over.

The show will, likely, find a way for Angie to not leave the series, but Will and her seem irreparable now. Angie’s future as a cop and GBI probably ends here.

Someone who commits such a blatant crime cannot also control who does or doesn’t go to prison for criminal activity.

“Do You See the Vision?” breaks your heart from start to finish. Let us count the ways. Crystal and her ultimate demise, Faith trying to be there for Will but he won’t open the door (metaphors everywhere), and then Will having to turn Angie into the police.

Then the heartbreaking lines, “I thought you might choose me.” Just brutal. But so good.

Speaking of brutal but so good. Mike spends most of Season 2 proving himself as a father, so I kind of hate Gina now for trying to take his children away. Yes, divorce Mike, obviously, but taking his children seems very cruel.

And most likely, it seems like somehow she might win the future court case and custody battle. We do have to remember Mike keeps bringing his children to the police station.

That alone is kind of evidence against him having full custody of them.

This Will Trent season finale has opened the door for lots of new directions in Season 3 (thank goodness it’s already been renewed). Angie probably has a trial soon and then needs to start completely over.

Will coping with his decision. Mike probably losing his children or just a long custody trial.

Will Trent delivers an impeccable Season 2 finale that sets up an intense, game-changing Season 3. Will will never be the same and the show has boldly set all the main characters down new paths that will be intriguing and enthralling to watch.

Stray Thoughts
  • I love the format of “Do You See the Vision?” The multiple perspective is a nice touch.
  • I am glad Will sees adoption in his future. It wouldn’t seem right without it.
  • Despite all the heavy topics going into Season 3, hopefully, the show will keep its lightness.
  • The brief moments of comedy, even when the show is at its most dramatic, make Will Trent stand out from typical police series. We need to keep them around forever.
  • Also, I like that Will sees Niko as family and part of his future.
  • Betty better never die.
  • I am glad Faith has someone romantically but I haven’t warmed to her boo yet.
  • I can’t believe Will Trent makes me change my position on the Angie and Will romance only to take it away. Damn, that’s good writing.
