Preview — ‘My Lady Jane’ Rewrites History with a Rebellious, Romantic Twist
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, My Lady Jane explores historical Tudor England through a fantastical, romantic lens that demands justice for a Jane that history wronged.
The radical retelling follows the somewhat accurate tale of Lady Jane Grey, a noblewoman crowned Queen of England for nine days. Until King Edward believed she was scheming to steal his throne and had her beheaded.
This series amplifies the voice of a Jane who decides to take her story into her own hands and fight back against the villains coming for her head.
In this swashbuckling high fantasy version of her tale, Jane saves herself from the guillotine and goes on the run with Guildford Dudley, her scoundrel husband, who also escapes a beheading.
Over the course of 8 episodes, they look to prolong and alter the events of history, striking up romance, action, and comedy in their wake.
Will these rebellious rascals be able to defy history itself, or is Jane doomed always to be the damsel of her own story?
Leading damsel Jane Grey is played by Emily Bader, with Edward Bluemel (Killing Eve) as Guildford Dudley, Jordan Peters (Pirates) as King Edward, and Dominic Cooper (Preacher) as Lord Seymour.

Actually… f*ck that. We’re retelling history the way it should have happened: the damsel in distress saves herself. This is an epic tale of true love and high adventure set in an alt-universe of action, history, fantasy, comedy, romance, and rompy-pompy. Buckle up.
