Timeless Hill Country charm with a modern twist

The owners recently transformed this vintage roadside motor lodge into a boutique hotel. Just 3 miles from the Wimberley Square the location has stunning views of the Blanco River Valley.

The Bygone is a place to disconnect.. chill on the pool deck, play bocce on the East Lawn, roast s’mores on the fire pit, craft a cocktail at The Den honor bar & hike our 5-acre grounds.

The Wimberley Square blends the old & new. Charming storefronts peddle “cowboy chic” apparel, vintage antiques, cute succulents, eclectic dining, tasting rooms, live music & savory cocktails.

Built in 1983, The Bygone has had just 4 family owners over the years. Botanists & paleontologists have identified rare, native plant species and even a fossilized Allosaurus footprint!

Soak up the sun

Our hilltop pool deck is the ideal place to take a dip, enjoy our signature Paloma Fizz cocktail, catch some rays, read a novel & enjoy our unobstructed views of the Blanco River Valley.

Relax in style

Our guest rooms were meticulously refreshed with modern comforts that respect the property’s history and rustic Texas Hill Country charm. 11 of our 17 rooms have private balconies or you can save a few bucks by booking one of our cozy poolside rooms.

Chill in The Den

Formerly the living quarters for seasonal staff, this space has been reimagined into a communal lounge with music, beverages, vibes and views. Mix a cocktail at our honor bar, enjoy the view from the large balcony, listen to Waylon Jennings on vinyl. A great place to unwind, meet like-minded guests and make memories.

Cozy up by the fire

Take a load off on our couch and lazy adirondack chairs. Warm up by our gas-powered fire table & roast s’mores on our wood-burning Solo Stove. The views from the fire pit area are next-level.

Come stay a while.
