Gautam Anand
Gautam was working as a Management Consultant helping top-rung clients find effective business solutions before he decided to quit his high-profile job and start Cinemaholic. The global exposure of speaking and spending time with top leaders in the industry had convinced him that there’s nothing more challenging and fun than following your passion. So, with the goal to provide information to movie and tv lovers that they can truly rely upon and trust, he began his Cinemaholic journey. But his bigger mission has always been to create a platform where people can come to learn about cinema and appreciate all its forms. His belief is that Cinemaholic will help more and more people realize that movies are not just mere entertainment, but there is magic in them; they have the power to change lives.
Prizmi Tripathi
Prizmi was introduced to cinema by her father at an early age. Since then she has been in love with one of humankind's greatest inventions. She is fascinated by storytelling in all its myriad forms: books, films, television, podcasts and theatre. When she’s not re-reading a Stephen King novel or re-watching a David Lynch film, Prizmi likes to scour the internet for any underrated gems she is yet to feast on. She can also spend hours expanding her knowledge on psychopaths and infamous killers. A few years into the world of finance made Prizmi realize her inner calling. She then went on to pursue Journalism. Before joining The Cinemaholic in 2019, Prizmi was a web-series producer and voice over artist.
Diksha Sundriyal
Diksha joined Cinemaholic in 2017 as a part-time writer, but her increasingly popular "explainers" paved way for her to become a full-time writer in 2018. She loves binge-watching and can spend hours talking about movies and TV shows. From sci-fi to musicals, from Hitchcock to Linklater, she loves them all. She has a Master's degree in History and can read/write multiple languages including Hindi, Mandarin and Russian. Being quadrilingual, a count she aims to increase, allows her to enjoy the literature and the cinema of various countries in the pure form, unhindered by translation. Before joining Cinemaholic, she was a professional freelance book reviewer.
Sumith Prasad
Ever since childhood, nothing moved Sumith more than the nuances of human existence. The passion he has to explore life and its varied conditions led him to the world of books and films. He completed Bachelor's in English Literature while delving into the filmography of Bergman, Ozu and more. As a logophile, Sumith is forever obsessed with translating visual experiences into words, which he continues to do at The Cinemaholic. He always feels at home with a book or a poem. When he is not watching classics, he is probably reading Milan Kundera or going through the catalog of Criterion Collection.
Ria Pathak
With a childhood filled with a profound love for books and cinema, Ria has always craved stories from page and screen. Her love for the silver screen ignited after Robin Williams made poetry soar in Dead Poets Society, leading her to an English Literature degree and straight into the world of media. She has always had a penchant for classics like 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and films that challenge the norm. Outside of work, Ria likes to lose herself in the pages of compelling narratives or engage in movie marathons, especially during Oscar season, where heated debates with her cinephile dad are a cherished ritual. Before joining The Cinemaholic in 2023, she was a Senior Content Producer.
Ayesha Gani
Ayesha has more than four years of experience working as a freelance writer for reputed publishers. She joined Cinemaholic in 2016 as a part-time writer and soon became one of the top contributors for the site. She has a keen eye for detail and loves researching as much as writing. What she also loves is trying out new tv shows. The fact that she gets to write about all the tv shows she loves is icing on the cake.
Kriti Mehrotra
Kriti is a business graduate with a proclivity towards words and stories. With the inquisitiveness to understand different perceptions and the belief that every character or situation leaves something for us to learn from, she is rarely ever seen without a book in hand. She can immerse herself into a good story no matter the genre or form and only come out from it when she's had her fill. Naman has always been intrigued by the world of cinema and its countless stories. After discovering that he could paint a picture with words of his own, he started appreciating the art of writing and cinema even more. A Bachelor’s degree in English Literature allowed him to notice the layers of expression that lie behind all the stories and characters with clarity. Aahana Swrup
Behind the keyboard for as long as she can remember, Aahana has been long fascinated with storytelling and the subtle magic in words. Hence, the progression from obsessing over books to a perpetual passion for TV shows and movies came naturally to her. The world is a delightful place within a three-act structure, and nothing is more appealing than exploring every nook and cranny within. When she is not tearing up over a heartfelt period piece or listening to her favorite albums, Aahana can be found with her nose in a Madeline Miller book, feeding her childhood fixation on Greek Mythology.
Shivangi Sinha
Shivangi has always found her comfort in books and cinema. She loves to unpack the craft of filmmaking and is a zealous champion of the feminist vision in films. She is a hardcore romantic but she also needs a regular dose of true crime documentaries and TV shows to put her to sleep. She always wanted to be a writer and while completing her Master’s in Political Science, she started working as a freelance editor. She was working on a book before she joined The Cinemholic to pursue an amalgamation of her interest in writing and films.
Shubhabrata Dutta
Shubhabrata’s fascination for movies began at an early age when his father brought home DVDs for rent. From ‘The Lion King’ to ‘The Mask’ to ‘Batman & Robin’ to ‘Spider-Man’, animated characters and superheroes were making their entrances and exits one after another in his head like in a grand show almost all the time. This fascination slowly got bigger and he decided to channel his love for movies into writing about them. He has been an entertainment writer for more than 3 years now, watching movies and shows while waiting for new ones to arrive. When he isn’t working or watching, you will find him somewhere among retro songs, long walks, and non-fiction novels.

An avid reader from his early days, Sartaj discovered a love for storytelling that has become the driving force behind his passion for the written word. His fascination with narrative art further blossomed with the introduction to cinema, marveling at its unique ability to breathe life into stories. Harboring a voracious appetite for films across a spectrum of genres, he is never short of inspiration, drawing from a reservoir of cinematic works to infuse his writings with creativity and depth.

For as long as he can remember, Upamanyu has had two interests: astronomy and stories. His fascination with the world out among the stars is only superseded by his love for language and the art of storytelling. He takes an avid interest in the sociological and personal themes that pervade the lives of characters within a narrative. Upamanyu is an avid reader, movie watcher, gamer, and anime lover. At The Cinemaholic, he gets to watch and write about films and shows he would never have discovered on his own.
