When I said in 2020 that House Republican representatives were generally focused on who gets the larger pieces of the cake during the office birthday party, many people just couldn’t fathom it.
With all the crisis, corruption, manipulation of government institutions, DOJ/FBI targeting and jaw-dropping weaponization that was stunningly evident, a large number of readers could not bring themselves to realize almost all House Republicans just didn’t care. Fortunately, a lot more awakening has happened in the past four years, and I think people are now more willing to accept the reality of just how bad it is in Republican ranks.
If there was just one article this month, I would like to suggest everyone read THIS ONE IN POLITICO. There’s no paywall; everyone can read it, and the context of it is, unfortunately, exactly as I would describe it myself. I have witnessed first-hand, exactly what the article covers.
On the day after the Mar-a-Lago raid in 2022, the FBI raided the home of Pennsylvania Representative Scott Perry. {DETAILS} Factually, there were a series of coordinated FBI raids and targeted inquisitions that were intentionally timed to trigger immediately after the August ’22 Trump raid.
What most people do not know was that President Trump’s former Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows essentially set up Scott Perry. After the DOJ framed the J6 events as a “national security threat,” Mark Meadows was essentially a walking FISA virus. Meadows sent Perry text messages via an encrypted Signal app, however, Signal was cooperating with the DOJ/FBI to give all communication to the targeting units of a weaponized surveillance state.
SIDEBAR: I believe Meadows knew his communication with Perry would be intercepted, because Meadows was an ¹operative for the Intelligence Community. I have pointed out the Meadows issues before. Additionally, Meadows was absolutely confirmed as John Solomon’s source from Congress and likely from the Oval Office. Meadows consistently leaked information to Hannity’s Tick Tock buddy, that the DOJ/FBI and IC wanted to see distributed.
¹Mark Meadows is a confirmed Deep State operative, and I would not bet against Solomon being a willing assistant and operative himself. [Chase his current storyline with that qualifier in mind, and you might have a different perspective. Seven years of “Breaking”, “Explosive”, “Game Changing”, “Exclusive”, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. All of it with ZERO “big boom” accountability outcomes – exactly as designed.]
SIDEBAR OVER – Back to Perry. Pennsylvania Representative Scott Perry became an FBI target in part because of his proximity to the epicenter of the AME church network voting fraud in Philadelphia [there’s a reason Biden goes there all the time], and in part because Perry was a supporter of President Trump and didn’t buy the illogical 2020 election outcome narrative. {NYT Link}
Well, last week House Speaker Mike Johnson appointed Scott Perry to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, or HPSCI as it is known. Despite the MAGA reps supporting this selection, my hunch is that President Trump was the voice who leveraged Johnson to make this happen. Now, the non-MAGA professional Republicans in the House are going bananas.
The backlash against the appointment of Perry to the HPSCI is a remarkable dose of sunlight upon all of the Republican deep state operatives in the House of Representatives. Texas Rep Dan Crenshaw is so filled with rage he can’t see straight.
WASHINGTON DC – […] Crenshaw, a member of the Intelligence panel, added: “The speaker needs to remember that there isn’t only one group that can threaten them. … Just do not teach the lesson that the only way for us to be effective here is threatening, because I’ll take the lesson and I’ll do it.”
[…] Beyond Crenshaw, a person familiar with the sitdowns said two separate groups of Republicans met with Johnson this week to share their frustrations about Perry’s appointment. That includes members of the Intelligence Committee who plan to meet with him on Thursday.
One Republican, who was granted anonymity to speak candidly, said no previous committee assignment has sparked as much internal anger as Johnson’s decision about Perry.
Another GOP member added that Perry’s appointment “was the talk for a day or two” among Republicans during their recent trip to France because of how “angry” lawmakers are.
“There’s a lot of pissed people. A lot of angry people. (read more)
Pour in the sunlight…. This is good stuff. We need to find out exactly which Republicans are angered by the appointment of Perry to the HPSCI. The problem is much bigger than the insufferable Dan Crenshaw.
Beyond the details of this story, stand back and look at the larger picture of how the HPSCI seats were historically assigned, against the background of how stunningly bad the HPSCI has been at holding the HPSCI Democrats like Adam Schiff to account. Let yourself think about this.
Everyone gets frustrated by the insufferable ineptitude of the House Republicans who appear on committees, and as a consequence appear on television asking the wrong questions. Well, overlay the silo problem with the reality that Republican House accountability processes (committee assignments) are determined by seniority and who plays nicely in DC.

Things make sense now?
The Big Ugly needs to get BIGGER and UGLIER before the boil can be lanced and the puss drained.
The Truth Has No Agenda. However, this sunlight is progress.
Mark Meadows, I have been yelling about this guy for some time. Why? Because when Doctor Fauci, who had a horrible reputation a mile long, showed up on the president’s covid task force, no one took the 5 minutes necessary to check him out and see that he should never have been allowed to be in a position of any influence, power, and authority over the American people, or anyone.
What does a president have a Chief of Staff for? He’s supposed to concern himself with who gets near the president.
Somehow the people on that task force evaded any scrutiny.
The Public Health Act passed in 1944 by Congress put Fauci in charge of all pandemics. He had the power to shut down the whole country all by himself. The task force was created in order to dilute Fauci’s power.
Besides that, the office of the VP was in charge of pandemic preparedness at the time.
Since about a year ago, the White House has an official Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response headed by a retired Air Force general/physician.
When you think about it, that would imply that VP Joe Biden was in charge of pandemics during the time Hunter had an interest in the Metabiota lab in Ukraine.
D.C. = a house of mirrors.
Doubt everything you see, until it reveals as either:
America First,
or,
America Last.
Meadows always appeared way too slimy.
….it was the third oh blah blah admin….
EVERYBODY needs to be purged…EVERYBODY
BINGO!
When you make my fellow Texan Dan Crenshaw mad, it means you made the right decision.
I would think you could come up with some better descriptive adjectives than the ones you used knowing he’s such a POS. Crenshaw is garbage agreed.
He’d make a good pirate. Oh wait!
Yes, Dan is a s–t!
Showboat you’ve got some nerve referring to that one-eyed snake as a Texan. That POS has no allegiance to and certainly no standing in the great State of Texas!
But yet CONSTANTLY gets re-elected…..Come on Texas, you can do better than that…
Dominion in play with that
I have known Mark Meadows personally for years and have always known him to be a good man. There is nothing in his background to indicate he would turn out evil.
They must have something on him. There just is no other way to explain this.
But doubtless, the DeSantis herd will still use Meadows as just another example of Trump’s poor choices in hires.
desantis herd? what are you mumbling about?

Exactly, and who cares what Meatball’s peeps do or think.
Meadows always gave a creepy feeling
What has bothered me about Mark Meadows is the manner by which he became Chief of Staff.
Mick Mulaney was a hard-working numbers nerd, a cerebral type. When asked, he took on the job at the top of the CFPB to try to straighten out that Democrat extortion scheme and slush fund while also serving as acting chief of staff.
More than once in 2019, Mulvaney the numbers guy was sent out to do verbal battle on the Sunday talk shows. He did okay for someone who is not a talking head warrior, but did not land devastating blows. In early 2020, Mark Meadows was the chief and Mick Mulvaney was named as the envoy to Northern Ireland. To me, it appeared that Mulvaney was set up to fail by throwing him into those shark-infested waters – in other words, a palace coop for the position of chief of staff.
Excellent post Sundance, thank you for the background links. Excellent reading at 0530 hours.
Dan Crenshaw can’t see straight
I see what you did there lol
You beat me to it. Bwahahaha…
I feel so guilty for laughing. Not.
Bravo, Sundance!
Dan Crenshaw presented himself when running for election in the exact opposite light we soon found him in after election. He is nothing less than viper. I’m ecstatic that he’s boiling with fury – and the others, too. Maybe we’ll see some
Maybe we’ll see some big changes soon.
FYI, we used to be able to edit our posts and at least on my end here I’ve lost that ability…
There’s a time limit, maybe 5 minutes. Not crazy about it myself.
Meanwhile, third-country nationals of indeterminate origin keep flowing in from mexico. Reassign the FBI to start studying the phenomenon instead of playing DC politics.
I must disagree with your plans for the FBI. That would be akin to taking your most rotten, disgusting worm-filled apple and making an apple pie with it. The fbi, from the top to the bottom, needs to be sent into history, immediately.
Nor is there anything to study about the “phenomenon” of the illegal invasion of the US. There is no need to pass more legislation about it. We must elect President Trump for the third time, finish the wall, and export them all, right down to the youngest nino y nina. Americans of all ages need to learn, or relearn, the true meaning of the word “illegal”.
At some point, these (possibly) elected members of Congress will either cash in and get out – or ultimately succumb to the will of the people.
I don’t see increasing numbers of citizens caving. The battle cry is louder and stronger. The microscope is turned on each and everyone.
Considering how obviously they have ratcheted up their abuse of power — voices are screaming in unison, ” We are mad as hell. We won’t take it anymore!”
Plagues, psyops, and propaganda be damned!
MAGA 2024 ❤️🇺🇲🙏

You’re a great poster Lorrie…hang in there…
Always MAGA!

So maybe Speaker Johnson isn’t just another pos speaker like the last two.
And maybe that’s why Trump told MTG to go easy on him and even said that she got along with him when we know she wanted Johnson gone.
Maybe Trump and Johnson came to an agreement on the appt of Perry to the HPSCI. I wouldn’t be surprised.
Trump knows everything and don’t for one minute think he doesn’t. Notwithstanding all his lousy picks when he first came into DC, but he found out that there are traitors everywhere.
It’s a beautiful Saturday morning in mid-June, the day after my President’s birthday, and I opened CTH to find that I missed this piece when it went up yesterday.
Brig. General (Ret) Scott Perry is my Congressman, and Middlesex Township in Cumberland County is my home. *I mention the latter because it appeared in the article to which SD provided a link. Here in Cumberland Co PA we love Scott Perry.
That being said, our District has been bent into a pretzel by the Democrats in Harrisburg, through their successful redistricting efforts to morph this county from red to purple to the goal: blue. These are the same election manipulators who rammed Act 77 down our throats in 2019 – with beaucoup help from the PAGOPe to accomplish the dirty deed.
Covid Lock-Downs worked to advance this:
PA Act 77, 2019 – (original) No excuse mail-in voting
“The law creates a new option to vote by mail without providing an excuse, which is currently required for voters using absentee ballots. Pennsylvania joins 31 other states and Washington, D.C. with mail-in voting that removes barriers to elections.
50-day mail-in voting period
All voters can request and submit their mail-in or absentee ballot up to 50 days before the election, which is the longest vote-by-mail period in the country.”
**********************************
Anecdote:
1) Eg. My husband received 5 unsolicited Mail-In Ballots for the 2020 General Election. I was a County hired / trained Poll Worker at the time, so knew what to do with the paper storm that had been delivered to our mailbox. On Nov 3, ’20 he dumped the pile onto the table where the Precinct Judge of Elections was perched for the day, and he insisted on his Right to vote in person. She put up a fuss at first and insisted that he must have submitted a request to vote by mail, but the multiple MIBs were on the table visible to everyone in the room. Mission accomplished.
At the time, our Precinct Judge of Elections was a Dem. This is an elected position in PA for which candidates can cross-file, and nobody else wanted the job at that time. Things have changed since then and the above-mentioned JofE was defeated in the last competition.

Current Info:
The “Democrat” running against Congressman Perry is Janelle Stelson. She has been a prominent on-air personality / news program host for one of the highest viewed local TV stations. I think she’s retired but don’t know bc we don’t watch the local stations anymore. She is reputed to have been a life-long Republican, who switched Parties to run against Scott Perry in this cycle.
Before reading the the linked piece, I did not realize that Stelson doesn’t live in our District. Heh, heh, heh… Time to make a little noise about this… Inauthenticity is not appreciated locally.
Opinion:
In PA, the two major Parties have been dancing together marvelously: same as in D.C. There are periodic threats from the General Assembly GOP that “we’ll try harder to do better”. To which I find myself replying, “Sorry PA GOPe, that ship has sailed and you’re being jettisoned along the way. Too many deceits for too many years.”
Congressman Perry is our 100% straight talking Representative. Approximately half-way through President Trump’s first term I made an appointment to visit with Congressman Perry in his Cumberland County office. At the time, he was maintaining 3 office locations – a result of the gerrymandering effect. Our District comprises pieces of several different counties (at least 3; possibly a piece of a 4th). Perry is one of the very rare “no BS” Members of the U.S. House.
Several days after the Feds railroaded him and demanded he turn over his phones to them, he, himself, returned a call to me – using his Staff Assistant’s cell – from the car as they were en route to an appointment. We are small and irregular donors, so $$ wasn’t the reason he personally returned my call. The people in our District were aghast that the Perry FAMILY had been stopped during a road trip, on the way home from a summer vacation, and the FEDS had made a big deal of the roadside search and demand for his phones – in the presence of Mrs. Perry and the Perrys’ young daughters.
He has much support in this District because he talks straight, meets us where we are, and is deeply respected by the majority of his constituents.
Stelson is a threat because she is very well known, and one of those “trusted” local media faces.
Thanks so much! I just sent this info to my brothers still living in Pennsylvania.
BTW, some of us were born in Cumberland County.
Pus draining. Sounds more severe than swamp draining. Better pack it so it heals from the inside out.
Sometimes it is better to excise the capsule around the pus pocket with a wide margin, removing scar tissue that cannot repair itself.

Every time I see those I move on by. I neither click nor do I read.
Solomon is rapidly losing his cred with MAGA. Too bad, he seemed to be a straight shooter for a while.
sometime in the last year to 18 months I tired of Solomon’s next big reveal just to be disappointed in the ultimate outcome. I have been doubtful of his true nature for awhile, but I, too, was initially fooled.
THe Senate and house are full of pretenders who get their turns to say stern things to CEOs various bureaucrats and it works. Afterwards many gush and wish they were all that way.
Combine that with a politically personable facade and incumbents become forever there and substantially useless ,harmful even
Sundance wrote, above:
“¹Mark Meadows is a confirmed Deep State operative, and I would not bet against Solomon being a willing assistant and operative himself.”
Please help me square this circle: Is this the same John Solomon who co-authored the 2020 book Fallout?
If so, it’s a bit curious that now we find he may be “an operative himself.”
Sundance, you provided the background for this,
“everyone can read it, and the context of it is, unfortunately, exactly as I would describe it myself. I have witnessed first-hand, exactly what the article covers.”
John Solomon I can believe(and Andy McCarthy, even though RL seemed to think a lot of him); Sara Carter, I believe, but she had me fooled.
Can you clarify what you mean when you say, “Signal was cooperating with the DOJ/FBI to give all communication to the targeting units of a weaponized surveillance state.” First, what do you mean by “cooperating”? Do you mean that Signal volunteered to give the DOJ/FBI whatever they wanted, or that Signal complied with a court order? Second, what do you mean when you refer to “all communication”? According to Signal, it’s not even possible for them to provide the contents of any messages sent on Signal due to the end to end encryption. Inquiring minds would like to know if it is possible. Or, are you referring to some other information? If so, what?
While I can’t speak to the “cooperating” part, I can to the encryption part. The only legal encryption methods that are allowed in the hands of US civilians have already been “broken” by the US government. “Broken” means that the US government has ways to render the encryption technique transparent to them. “Broken” does not mean that the data is not protected from those outside the US government. There are a few encryption methods that have not been “broken” by the US government YET. Quantum computing will likely break those. Those are illegal in the US, no platforms provide those methods to civilians. There are encryption methods used outside the US that the US government has not “broken”.
This is why Russian Kapersky(/) has fallen on ill repute, and no doubt, a reason why the US government frowns on TikTok use until recently.
If you thought Signal or any other encryption company put you outside the spying eyes of the US government, you were lied to. In fact, using these alternative communication methods put a target on your back for government “hacking”. However, these may be useful to keep prying eyes of business competitors, Joe average criminal and a broad spectrum of others out of your business.
End to end just means the message is encrypted at its initiation and decrypted at its destination. It does not mean that the sender or receiver information is encrypted. Without cloaking software, that information is in the clear and just like many J6’ers were discovered through that type of information, much can be discerned about your communications through that type of information.
If you want to communicate without the US government spying on you, leave your phones at home and do it in person, preferably at a place you do not frequent and best by bike. Car licenses are captured at most intersections.
A safe electronic way Sundance has suggested through metaphors known to both parties but not generally known. Another way is to use a book with identical copies known to both parties and use numerical references to specific words on a page and pages in the book. Even stenographic communication, a picture within a picture, has become much more easily deciphered with advanced computing power. It is still possible for your communications to be deciphered by the US government using these methods. But given the general incompetence these days, it is less and less likely.
There are very few US entities willing to take a fall for their customers, if the US government comes calling. That is why Sundance had to move this site off word press.
This is an incredible article and needs to be expanded upon. I have regarded the Senate and House Intelligence committees as cesspools for decades. The Republican members of them are lepers.
Can you expand on Meadows please?
“A lot of COMPROMISED, GREEDY, ENTITLED, UTTERLY CORRUPT people”. There, fixed it.
The brazenness is astounding.
Is Johnson really just Dade Phelan in disguise?
