endlessreverb86 My introduction to The Mountain Goats back in the early 2000's and still by far my favorite album. The hum of the Panasonic mixed with John's lyrics was something that I had never heard before. It was a jewel of an album then and it still is two decades later. Favorite track: Family Happiness.

They are told in beautiful, unnerving, specific detail because he is a very good writer, and also some of them are just true stories about his own life.
