Westport: Sign the Kwinana outer harbour won’t be open until 2042

The huge proposed Westport outer harbour development may not open until 2042 — 25 years after plans to build the Roe 8 road link to Fremantle Port were shredded — in a potential blow for the industrial area’s growth ambitions.

The new terminal at Kwinana was widely touted as an alternative route for freight during the ferocious debate over Roe Highway’s extension ahead of the 2017 State election.
