BHP Nickel West: suspension spills onto FIFO airline and stokes cost warning at Glencore’s Murrin Murrin

Fly-in, fly-out aircraft operator Alliance Aviation is bracing for financial turbuluence after BHP revealed it would freeze its vast WA Nickel portfolio, while the State’s new nickel mining supremo issued a grim message.

Alliance currently flies 24 return trips a week between Perth and the Big Australian’s Nickel West sites at Mt Keith and Leinster in the northern Goldfields.
