The mother of a teenager killed by a woman who sped her high-powered car at him in a fit of rage says the “justice system family failed my family” after her pleas to keep her locked up fell on deaf ears.

Aya Hishmeh was jailed for 8½ years for the manslaughter of 17-year-old Jacob Cummins and the serious harm she caused his friends when she mowed them down in her Nissan Skyline in Canning Vale in December 2017.
