Fremantle are hoping to bring their hot form to chilly Tasmania as they look for a fourth straight victory against Hawthorn to maintain the charge towards a top-two finish.

The Dockers have roared into top-two contention on the back of three straight wins as Carlton and Sydney have faltered above them.

But there are few tougher trips than facing the Hawks in Tassie with Freo having won just two of their 14 games in The Apple Isle though they did win their last clash in here in 2021.

Can the Dockers do it again to keep pressure on the top two? Follow all the action below.

That’s where we'll leave it

A fantastic game but one in which the Dockers end on the wrong side on and remarkably Hawthorn is only a game and a half behind them in the fourth such is the closeness of this year’s competition. Next for Freo will be Melbourne at home, until then bye for now..

FULL TIME Hawthorn 13.9 (87) Fremantle 10.14 (74)

The Hawks storm home to down the Dockers in a thrilling contest in Tasmania. Freo failed to take advantage when they had the breeze and it’s come back to haunt them. Lloyd Meek has had a day out with 51! hit-outs and 20 disposals. Sicily’s move forward was inspired while Worpel and Newcombe had massive days. Luke Jackson did all he could for the Dockers to finish as the highest-rated player on the ground.

The wiz with some magic

That’s surely the game! He firstly dives across to take a fantastic mark diving over the boundary line. He’s not a great time in front of goals with 6.19 for his career. But from the boundary around 45m out he’s drilled the kick and surely sealed the game.

SICILY!

He’s got one arm but he’s still too strong. Luke Ryan has moved to him in the past few contests after Chapman struggled but he still can’t stop him. He takes a stong contested grab in the goal square and he nails it around the corner to make it an eight point margin.

Hawks butchering the ball

The Hawks have had the majority of the inside 50s in the last few minutes but every time they’ve turned it over kicking to an uncontested Freo defender. Fyfe also turns the ball over after missing his free man in the midfield. It’s hot out there.

There’s not many goals left in this one

The Dockers have been threatening ever since that turnover but Hawthorn are looking likely to break free out the back everytime they go forward. There’s plenty of nervy moments and skill errors. But the Hawks finally break and though it’s tumble forward without much finesse Sicily produces some magic to toe poke the goal through despite the immense pressure of Luke Ryan.

Dockers back in front

Blake Hardwick scrubs a kick outside defensive 50 and Andrew Brayshaw punishes with his first goal of the afternoon. A terrible turnover and how costly ould that be in such a tight game?

Hawks in front!

The Hawks break down the wing as Scrimshaw nails a pass to Impey and although Chol fumbles the footy Worpol cleans up to find Breust. James Aish can feel aggrieved for not getting a push in the back as Hawthorn edge ahead.
