Although a drifting former favourite, Recommendation romped home Saturday’s $200,000 Group 3 Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield to score by a sparkling seven lengths.

With Ashford Street heavily backed to be a $2.80 TABtouch favourite, Recommendation started $3.60 and jumped efficiently to quickly make himself among the pacesetters.
