West Coast defeated West Perth for the first time in nearly five years, with a late goal from axed veteran Jack Darling sealing an eight-point upset win at Mineral Resources Park.

Heading into the clash the Eagles had not beaten the Falcons since the 2019 elimination final victory, losing their past seven meetings by an average of 82 points including a 92-point belting in round seven of this year.
