I’ll give two answers, one being Muriel, although I’m not sure if they’re classified as a background character. I love them forever, truly, they’re the one character I beg to come back in s3

I also love any of the angel/demon background characters. Furfur specifically. Furfur and Mr. Brown from browns world of carpets. Best ship.

23) favorite quintisennsial Aziraphale moment:

Can I answer all of them? Probably the end of A Companion to Owls when he’s on the rock and asks “but what am I.” That scene actually almost made me cry, something the final 15 couldn’t even achieve. It’s just so powerful; and it’s a question that I think defines Aziraphale as a character. What am I. Just, wonderful. Also anything with newspaperman detective Aziraphale. him and his little hat, need I say more.

7) which scene never fails to make me laugh in good omens:

I’ve rewatched good omens a lot at this point, and the only scene that gets a laugh out of me every single time is when Crowley throws the books. I don’t know what it is about it, the fact that it was so unexpected? How he’s just—randomly carrying books. And the phone rings, and he looks around and can’t find a spot and is just like. WHELP? And chucks them across the room and you can hear them knocking things over like it kills me every time. AND THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN. LIKE MY GUY. (I can’t actually remember which one came first but you get the point.)

20) the best Crowley look:

I’m gonna have to go with his main season one look. I just think he’s very pretty. And hands down my favorite hairstyle for him. The ginger. And his washed up rockstar vibe is real. I can and do stare at him all day.

They need to make a queer space where the extroverted queers adopt the introverted queers today so we can have our occasional social enrichment but also not have to worry about socializing in the moments we don’t feel like it.

I’m not sure about anyone else but I personally have a pretty hard time finding Aziraphale centric fics. Crowley centric fics are really easy to find, stuff that splits C/A evenly is also pretty easy to find.

So I think we should start a thread of Aziraphale centric fics (or at least ones where he gets to take a major role in.)

I’ll go first:

These are the Soul by Mikripetra—This is my comfort fic I love it with my entire being.

Starmaker and Starlight by Nohaljiachi—This one just made me very happy then very sad. It focuses on Aziraphale before the beginning, coming to be friends with the starmaker (angel Crowley)

Prax In Terris —by Oatmeal Addiction I love this one because it captures the spirit of good omens perfectly. Genuinely if s3 was a fanfiction this (and the other fic in this series) is what I’d want it to be. Now it is not exactly Aziraphale centric, it does split time pretty evenly with Crowley and Muriel, but I love Aziraphale’s role in this, and he gets to be really interesting and stubborn. (Maybe not for all readers who dislike face value interpretations of the FF though.) It’s a wip about the second coming and I’m very curious where the author is gonna take it.

Today Crowley accompanied Aziraphale to another rare book auction. While this activity would normally be relatively boring to him, he was initially confused and then wholly delighted when Aziraphale miracled himself a disguise (including a full beard and dramatic side burns) and confessed he had previously been banned from this particular auction house as a result of his unruly behaviour.

My love for Aziraphale makes me unwell so in return I make him very unwell, he cannot escape the horrors my mind will put him through

#horrors like#no more hot chocolate#polka dot bow ties instead of tartan#but actually I also keep making him hate himself#me and him low self esteem 🤝#rent free is never free in my mind#if he’s lucky Crowley will comfort him if he’s not he’ll cry himself into a dreamless week sleep#this is not a cry for help#he’s just unlucky enough to be the blorbo I’ve decided to project on#good omens#he’s my comfort character be quiet#just another day of giving him religious trauma don’t mind me

the concept of crowley and aziraphale being like vocally pro civil rights of marginalized communities is especially hilarious considering witch burnings were like. canonically happening while they were on earth. neither of them were rushing to lift a finger about THAT one
