Also can I be crazy and ask: are we sure cis women of color are actually more prone to higher testosterone than cis white women & it's not just sampling bias / they're more likely to be diagnosed because they're already viewed as less feminine. Or: if it's not, then why are white women the standard framework for "normal" womanhood, when we could just as easily view it instead as white women tending to have *lower* testosterone. Riddle me this

Cause that's the thing, yknow, statistics around diagnoses depend on the very biased doctors diagnosing people & the many many factors that go into that process. But people tend to take these numbers at face value as reflective of actual objective truth. Yknow? Like how you could say "autism is more common in men than women" but really what the numbers mean is that little boys get diagnosed more frequently

Anyway. Even if it is true, why are white cis women the standard? Why is that how we're measuring it? Who might this be benefitting. Well the white western sex&gender binary continues to be a tool of white supremacy what else is new
