The photos from today’s convention….at least the ones that turned out alright.
While I’m waiting on the pics, an update on the mystery in the swamp pics:
I had felt it seemed like what I’d seen in the swamp might be a snapping turtle and alligator battling. They looked like they could be, and the animal interaction had that twirling that alligators are supposed to do. I didn’t say so since I’ve never heard of anyone around here seeing an alligator. Other parts of the state, yes, but not locally. Besides, the photos were too fuzzy be sure of anything.
Today at the comic con the NC Aquariums had a booth, with a gator skull, so I talked to one of the, about it and showed them the pics. They agreed with me it sure looked like it, and that with climate change the beasties are likely to head north. And they thought the pics were cool too!
Now that I’m home I see that some people have comments saying they thought much the same.
Sooooo I guess I can consider my swamp a home to alligators now!!!!!
I’m back from the comic convention and will soon try to post some pics. I don’t have high hopes for the photos as my camera picked today to have nervous breakdown**, and I wasn’t feeling my best. Here’s hoping a few look okay!
**Very worrying. Every time I set the camera it would start randomly flipping through all the possible settings. So I never knew if the flash was going to come on if it wasn’t going to be able to focus or the color would go haywire or….I sure hope this doesn’t happen all the time or taking pictures may become a nightmare!
