Two Dick Wolf joints, CBSFBI and NBC‘s Chicago Med, have named new showrunners for their coming seasons, our sister site Deadline reports.

Last month it was announced that Rick Eid was stepping down as showrunner of FBI, after having launched the hit drama six years ago.

“After six years of running two, or more, shows, and CBS now picking up FBI for three more years, this was the perfect time for me to step back and focus my efforts on running Law & Order and developing new projects,” Eid said in a statement. “I’m extremely proud of FBI, and couldn’t be happier for the cast, crew and producers. While I will no longer be the day-to-day showrunner, I intend to remain involved with the show going forward.”

Mike Weiss has been tapped to assume showrunner duties at FBI, starting with Season 7. Weiss most recently served as showrunnner on Peacock’s Death and Other Details. Prior to that, his producer credits included The Mentalist, Chicago P.D. (as a co-EP), Code Black and ABC’s Stumptown.

FBI aired its season finale on May 21, and will return in the fall, again airing Tuesdays at 8/7c.

Across the dial at Chicago Med, Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider — who’d helmed the hit medical drama since its 2015 debut — stepped down from their post in early April, at the end of the current Season 9.

“We were honored to be chosen by Dick Wolf to run Chicago Med and have tremendously enjoyed our association with Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television,” their joint statement read. “We love Chicago Med and have devoted all our creative energies to it, but after nine seasons we feel it’s time for us to move on and explore other possibilities. We’ve been privileged to work with a great writing staff, production team and a brilliant cast of actors. We will miss them all.”

Allen MacDonald has been tapped to assume showrunner duties at Med, starting with Season 10. MacDonald most recently served as showrunner on Prime Video’s Harlan Coben’s Shelter. Prior to that, his producer credits included the OG CSI, Body of Proof, American Gothic (as a co-EP) and 13 Reasons Why (as an EP).

Chicago Med airs its season finale tonight, and will return in the fall, again airing Wednesdays at 8/7c.
