The NCIS team will return 88 percent intact this fall, now that the four remaining cast members whose contracts were up have re-signed.
Original cast members Pauley Perrette and David McCallum, as well as Sean Murray and Rocky Carroll, have each re-signed for Season 14 and 15, our sister site Deadline reports.
Series front man Mark Harmon inked his own two-year extension back in February, while Brian Dietzen and Emily Wickersham are on different contract cycles.
The four re-signings come on the heels of Wilmer Valderrama (That ’70s Show) joining NCIS as a new series regular for Season 14, and a month after original cast member Michael Weatherly made his final appearance as Special Agent Tony DiNozzo, ending his 13-year run in the role. (The status of Sarah Clarke and Duane Henry, who recurred toward the end of Season 13, is TBD.)
Weatherly next stars on the new CBS drama Bull, which will air Tuesdays at 9/8c, following NCIS, starting Sept. 20.

Very glad to see this. After Michael’s departure, I wasn’t looking forward to seeing any of the remaining originals go. As it is, I’m not looking forward to the newbie regular they’ve got coming in.
CHANGE IS HARD! CHANGE IS BAD!
I’m amazed by how staple the show has been for 13 years.
While change is hard at times, I Do NOT feel it is always bad.
I’m actually looking forward to seeing Fez’s new character
I’m not. I’m actually really disappointed with the casting. I’ve never thought he was a very good actor. And his voice will always sound like Handy Manny…who always sounded a little (or a lot) stoned.
Just curious, have you seen him play something else besides Fez. His voice is actually quite normal.
Yay!
Just that.
Yay!
Excellent, excellent, news.
Was there any doubt?
There wasn’t any doubt with previous actors, until there was…..

It is amazing how this cast has stuck with the show all these years..
Deadline reported that they were “the series also is casting a new female regular”. which has me believing Clayton and Tess are gone. Hmm…
I get the sense that Gary Glasberg is exploring his casts, period. Before Michael left, the team was Gibbs, McGee, Tony, and Bishop. NOLA has Pride, LaSalle, Brody, and Percy. Also four people, yet it was announced that NOLA is adding Vanessa Ferlito as a series regular. Gary heads both shows, so maybe he’s playing with combinations. Maybe he’s expanding both teams. I don’t think we’ll know for sure what’s happening until the Fall. He might not even know yet. Glad that Pauley, Sean, David, and Rocky have signed new deals.
Who knows? Maybe Vanessa Ferlito will end up at the mother ship with Gibbs.
Yeah, I could see something like that happening. She’s supposed to play an adversarial character, so if she is received well, I could see her at least visiting Gibbs in DC.
Agreed, lots of possibilities here. The female role has real interesting scenarios; Angie Harmon, Mary MacCormick, how about Paget Brewster? One im pression I get is that GG really is dead set against Diane Neal, despite being a fan favorite.
The other interesting note is the lack of a body in Ziva’s ‘death’. GG is crafty enough to have left himself a door that is open a crack if CDP and him and MH can resolve their differences about her character. Even if not as a regular, a recurring role would boost potential S15/end of life ratings, if thats what happens. Could be some great twists and turns!
The Diane Neal situation keeps being brought up, but I don’t think being a fan favorite will ever bring her back. She very publicly disagreed with NCIS producers on Twitter instead of discussing the matter privately. It wasn’t a storyline issue either. IIRC, her comments were about working conditions. Whatever her concerns were, Twitter was not the forum to address the matter with producers. The tweets can be found if one does a bit of searching. Ms. Neal deleted them, but they were copied and posted on various message boards or fan sites. I read them somewhere, although I can’t remember where. It’s been awhile. I like Abigail Borin a whole lot, but the person to blame for her absence is not Gary Glasberg. It’s Diane Neal.
POS show!
Wow, what a totally inane stupid comment–thanks so much for sharing how low your IQ is…
For me, the most interesting part of this article was,”Weatherly next stars in the new CBS drama Bull…”, but I still love Pauley, Sean, Rocky, Brian, David and Emily, so all the best to them.
I smell and end coming after year 15.all the contracts end then,it IS 15 years after all,so I’d actually be surprised to see a year 16 at this point, you never know and I’m sure there is megamoney involved but still…..
+1. Hopefully, it will end gracefully.
Finally. Now stop screwing with my NCIS shows!!! I only watch a few network shows as it is and I don’t want them messed with. If it aint broke, don’t fix it!
For me this is one of many awesome Series that CBS airs. I’m extremely pleased that NCIS continues on. Many of my TV shows on many different Networks have been canceled. I love TV so when I lose a show that I love it really stings. And no I’m not a person that needs to get a life. I’m a 50++ man that served in our great Nations Navy for 21YRS and am now a Disabled Vet that loves being to do what ever I want “Thank You Very Much”. You All Have a Great Day.
I Love USA and My God Bless Us All.
Richard, your comment says it all, and quite well. When a fictional series is very, very good, viewers get drawn into it such that, for an hour, the line between fiction and reality gets blurred. This isn’t a bad thing; it just means that the acting and the writing are so good that it is all believable. I’m one of those who loved NCIS from the get-go (I’m a 72+ woman who served in the Air Force), and would happily watch it forever. I do watch old episodes on Netflix, a lot, when I haven’t anything else to watch. When Tony Dinozzo left, I was saddened, but his leaving was absolutely reasonable, and mirrors “real life.” We’ve all had co-workers who moved on to new jobs, or family matters… and Dinozzo’s “send-off” was perfect, much better than killing off the character. People leave jobs all the time for reasons other than death. And when an employee leaves, another is usually hired to fill the vacancy. Sometimes we like them, sometimes we don’t, but when a fictional series is really, really good, it mirrors real life in precisely these ways. Here’s to NCIS being around for another 15 seasons!
Elizabeth, this is one of the most cogent and articulate posts/replies I’ve seen on this, and numerous other boards. Those of us who have been in the workplace for more than a couple of decades will completely recognize the circumstances and environments that you term “real life”. And, you correctly identify the reason as a ‘series’, which includes all staff, not just writers, working in conjunction to bring fans a believable product .
Well done!
Aww, shucks (blushing)! Thank you! It means a lot!
THANK YOU for your service!
That places everyone on the same renewal sequence.
They need to get rid of Emily Wickersham. She’s a terrible actress and her character is super boring.
No one’s forcing you to watch, side note I’m that you’re not mentioning ziva any more.
I doubt a troll would know anything about acting.
What an excellent point–kudos to you Hank!
You know as actors you follow how you are directed. That doesn’t make her a terrible actress.
That was an awesome plot twist for Tony’s exit. I’ll be ready for Dr. Bull in the fall. I got a good deal on seasons 1-4 of NCIS, bingeing my way through season 3 now. Good stuff!!
Great we have these regulars back! Will truly miss “Tony”…not sure we want the boxer added, but will have to see…what about the young man who assists Our M.E.? Really unhappy they’re adding Ferlito to NCISNO…We don’t need another WOMAN….too many shows now that are terribly unbalanced with too many women…mostly in charge, bossing men around. Every pic we see of her, she makes her eyes look like she’s going to ba another BAD COP!! Team, as is, is great. Add another woman and spoil the whole show!
What an inane comment – adding a woman, just any woman, ruins a show? Saying the opposite (adding a man would ruin a show) would be equally absurd.
Incidentally, Brian Dietzen plays the young man who assists Ducky. Per the third paragraph, his contract is already set, along with Harmon’s and Wickersham’s.
Agreed, but I was less than enamored with the role’s thumbnail description. It came across as NOLA’s female version of the Colin Hank’s role on NCIS a couple of seasons ago. GG and MH would need to give this role added dimension to make it more than a short story arc, or it wil run out of momentum quickly.
I hated Colin Hanks & his character! I don’t care if he eventually turned out to be a good guy. I always skip those episodes when re-watching.
It feels like they are feeling the ethnic gap left from Ziva leaving with “Fez” plus the new recurring british agent.
Ethnic gap??? You do know here in America, there are many, many ethnicities being that most of our ancestors come from other countries.
I’ve only seen him in Grey’s. He was super good in that. I lived the 70’s so wasn’t interested in watching a show about them. However, if this actor sticks in your mind still, then he must have been good❣
Seems like the team lost one and gained three. Getting kind of large.
I hate that NCIS New Orleans is being moved to a later time slot. I have absolutely NO INTEREST in “Bull” or whatever they end up calling it.
The big question is, why does NCIS keep bringing Pauley Perette back. Her poutiness, moodiness and childishness is irritating to say the least. All of the other characters seem to have to tip toe around each her so as to not set her off. I am totally fed up with her character.
RonS sry you don’t like the Abby character. I felt that way about Tony! Love Abby hope she’s there to the end!! Wish she had a bigger part! #lovingabbs
For goodness sake what will it take to get rid of the current Director of NCIS? The best ever (Jenny Sheppard) vanished after a short stint, and ever since Vance got the chair it looks like it’ll take another stick of dynamite to blast him out of it.
I couldn’t watch more than 12 minutes of “Bull”- sure, a new idea, but it has no real drama, no edge. Michael, I love you, but this “Bull” is “Dull.” There’s no real action or intrigue. You’re locked into the most boring character (not your fault…entirely) on TV. Please, Mike, go back to NCIS and they can kill off one of the 2 newbies it took to (weakly) replace you. Bull has zero action, no suspense- is this “Matlock 2016”?
Well last nights 10/18/16 show of NCIS “Just was not very good” The new “stupid” field only guy was a joke..Thou he is my idea of lots of “Federal Employee’s” I just hate to see it spread out all over the TV….The new lady agent was much better as a NYPD police woman…. Maybe just 2 many people for any kind of attachment…. Hope it sure gets better…I have liked all of the first 13 seasons….
Cheerio ducky
