The CW on Thursday became the final broadcast network (after CBS, NBC, Fox and ABC) to unveil its schedule for the Fall TV season. What shows are on the move, where did new ones land, and what’s on hold until midseason?
◆ Off the air since June 2023, Superman & Lois will finally let fly with its fourth and final season on a new night, Thursdays, where it will lead into the reboot The Librarians: The Next Chapter.
◆ The fall’s only other scripted fare is bundled on Wednesdays: Season 2 of the acquired drama Sullivan’s Crossing, followed by Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner’s jewel thief drama, Joan.
◆ Among unscripted fare, Monday for lack of a better term is “board game night,” and WWE NXT (formerly of USA Network) will continue to grapple with a Tuesday time slot.
◆ Yes, as detailed here (and below), more than a dozen shows are in limbo at the moment, including All American, Walker and Wild Cards.

Hoping to see Bump and Moonshine back sometime this summer.
Pretty sure I read somewhere CW already cancelled both of these.
Bump was pulled from the schedule of The CW last summer in the middle of season 2 so i would say it’s already cancelled. As for Moonshine I haven’t read anything after the first season completed it’s run last summer.
Hoping Family Law & Wild Cards come back at mid-season – both were terrific shows.
I love them both too and hope both come back also. If Sherlock & Daughter takes over for Joan (only 6 eps) in fall; Wild Cards might be a good lead-in for the Good Cop/Bad Cop who in the works with Leighton Meester. And Family Law is practically the longest-running scripted CW show at this point aside from All American; it deserves to be kept airing even if summers, I’ll take it whenever!
Wow! Only visiting CW on a Thursday to watch Superman and Lois. When it is finished I’ll have no reason to visit unless they renew the All Americans and Walker for 2025. I’m already watching S2 of Sullivan Crossing.
How are you watching S2 of Sullivan’s Crossing?
On Canadian TV. It’s already airing there.
It is currently airing in Canada.
It is airing in Canada right now. I am watching it too.
I am watching it in Australia as we get it the same day as Canada (or the day after). Been quite good so far
The CW’s schedule leaves more questions than answers. But ho estly, all the broadcast webs seem tentative in commitment of days, times, episode counts, and program choice. Nothing groundbreaking, much derivative. And lots of asking, is it on or not? And why try to spread 18 episodes in a 39 week season? And what’s with all the mass interest event programming going to steaming? Is it any wonder viewers are tuning out?
The networks aren’t even TRYING to compete with streaming; it’s sad.
Network tv is dead. Anything worth watching and any actor worth anything are all going to streaming services. I personally love it bc they can get away with a lot more there and have more money for the shows. There are so many great shows on streaming services that it’s hard to keep up with. There are a handful on cable and none that I would miss on network tv. Join this era and cut the cord and pay for just streaming if you can’t afford both. Most of the people who seem to be complaining are people over the age of 65, they don’t know how to stream anyway.
RIP The CW. I haven’t watched anything on the channel in about a year. I will watch the final season of Superman and Lois in the fall and that is it for me.
Yep exactly same for me I miss what the cw used to be it had all my favorite shows. 😪
Ditto, I haven’t watched anything on The CW since Legends of Tomorrow ended & it looks like I still won’t be watching anything.
Same, I think they should stick to game shows. Their dramas are clearly not working anymore.
curious about the new game shows hope there fun :) also wasn’t whose line canceled? or are those repates? and i’m excited for the new librarians show
Yes! TV Line, it would be great if you could find out what these Whose Line episodes are going to consist of.
I was curious about Whose Line too, as it had been announced to be ending but I’m not sure how many episodes were produced… or maybe that was more about the cast ending, and there will be new people featured? Would love some clarity.
Also World’s Funniest Animals, Totally Funny Animals, Totally Funny Kids, and some of the other unscripted and last summer fare is not mentioned one way or the other. I can’t imagine those clip shows especially cost very much, though CW real estate has dwindled with all the sports
Love the show Sight Unseen. Keeps you on the edge of your toes. So So Good. Keep it going.
If you want it to stay, put a comment on TV Line.
Dear CW,
I LOVE Wild Cards, Son of a Critch, The Chosen, Family Law. Please bring them back.
P.S. I’m so excited to see The Librarians making a comeback!
CW and ABC have the worst schedules this fall. ABC will land in 4th place and CW 5th like always.
I’m a 90’s kid. So, there is no way to overstate the kind of impact the WB (and then the CW) had on me growing up. It would be impossible. It was an institution of entertainment for myself and every teenager I knew at the time. Things sure have changed.
I think The CW should just call it a day and fold.
The CW unveils that they once again have no clue what the heck they are doing.
Hope they bring back all the Canadian shows!
I thought whose line is it anyway ended? Was I mistaken or will these just be reruns?
We were told that the current season–I can’t tell you the number since what the cable guide says is different from IMDB and Wikipedia have are different–would be the last, at least with the current cast. Given how they were able to squeeze out many episodes using previously filmed segments, who knows how much content they have banked. The copyright on new episodes is often two years before the year it airs.
Definitely bring back Critch and Wild Cards. Great shows. Love em both!!
NXT! NXT! I don’t watch much pro wrestling anymore, but this is the one show that I make sure to at least PVR.
The Canadian imports should be relatively inexpensive for the CW to air, so I expect that they’ll get airtime at some point. And if the CW doesn’t pick them up… I’m not saying that you should invest in a VPN and watch the shows when they air up here, but it might be something to take under advisement.
I’ve never understood the absence of Canadian content in the US. Canadian producers and American outlets are leaving money on the table by not making it available here. Acorn TV streams a little. Ovation has Murdoch and some 10+ year-old procedurals. And a few shows show up on streamers and now The CW. It pales in comparison to the volume of British content, while it probably is more relatable (and easier to understand) than British shows. Instead, we don’t get to see it and the production companies earn nothing from the American market of 130 million households. Stupid.
I know the days where we’ll see Canadian shows on American networks during the summer like Rookie Blue or Motive are gone. America’s watch reality crap from June to mid-September. Reruns of American procedurals and sitcoms earn cable stations like USA more than acquired Canadian shows. Still, those shows could earn something if they had American outlets.
I think one reason why you didn’t see much Canadian content in the US is that… well, there really wasn’t that much decent Canadian content to farm out. And about 50% of those that were decent, were sketch comedies that heavily catered to the Canadian viewer.
But you look nowadays and the show quality has improved, and the themes more general, so that these shows are easier to sell abroad. They still feel Canadian, but they have hooks that can hopefully pull in eyeballs in the US and elsewhere.
I’m more surprised that over the past few years (especially during Covid shutdowns and strikes) networks and streaming services haven’t picked up more English language versions of reality shows that also have an American version. Canadian/British/Australian Survivor, Amazing Race, Lego Masters, Masked Singer, Got Talent, etc. Peacock has done that with The Traitors.
Ugh! No more reality shows, I don’t care where they come from!
Man, this schedule looks awful. Hopefully Wild Cards returns
Looks like I will be watching something on the CW after all…Thursdays 🤭
Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit game shows?More scintillating content from CW, eh? Maybe we’ll get Yahtzee and Candyland in mid-season. 🙄
Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit were both game shows in the past. I don’t know if that means they’ll be successful now – but with EVERY old show coming back in some form now, it’s not surprising that they’re trying.
I could actually see Candyland down as a fun obstacle course type show. Bounce over the giant gumdrops! Swing over the molasses pit! Climb to the top of the giant candy cane! And think of the potential product tie-ins! I’ll be waiting for my royalty check CW! :p
Is Spencer Sisters cancelled? I’m guessing yes since Lea Thompson is attached to a new show on Hallmark Channel.
Spencer Sisters was great. Hopefully it returns. 🙏🏼
Superman & Lois
Sullivan’s Crossing probably
Spencer Sisters was canceled today. Sorry
Not a fan but it could just be that she’s signed onto a project to do in her off-time, it happens all the time, especially since so many shows now have shortened seasons instead of the full 22 episodes.
I am wondering the same.
I like that show
Spencer Sisters was a Canadian import from CTV, and sadly, despite doing pretty well in ratings while airing on the CW, it was canceled over on the Canadian end of things.
The Spencer Sisters cancellation was announced recently by TVLine and a post from Lea Thompson. I thought it was excellent.
What about Sight Unseen? We really like this show which means it’s probably been canceled.
Not mentioned in the post.
Lavar Burton will host and co-executive produce Trivial Pursuit .
It’s been in development at The CW for over 2 and a half years.
Speaking of Raven – Symone she had been announced as the host of Scrabble.
Yes, all that information has been reported and is available if you click on ALL-CAP NEW SHOW TTLES for details. –Mgmt.
Thanks Matt.

those pac-12 football games should be good, considering pac-12 football doesn’t exist anymore. the CW should know that, makes them look dumb.
You think they signed a contract for no teams? You should know that the remaining schools Oregon St. and Washington St. still have football teams and were quite proud of getting a broadcast home. Makes you look ill-informed that you don’t know that – because you’d rather snark first and ask questions later.
Love Family Law and Wild Cards. Disappointed
