With The CW releasing its primetime schedule for next season on Thursday, what really caught our eye is what shows are not on it.
Veteran scripted series Walker, All American and All American: Homecoming are nowhere to be found on The CW’s fall lineup and aren’t confirmed as coming back at midseason, either, leading us to wonder if they’ll be coming back at all. (All three series have yet to be officially renewed.)
A network rep tells TVLine that “no decisions have been made yet on those titles;” Brad Schwartz, The CW’s President of Entertainment, later elaborated, “We’re having active conversations on all of them right now. We just didn’t need to make those decisions this week. I guess you can call them bubble shows.”
Not exactly reassuring, but maybe The CW’s executives are waiting to see how their current seasons fare in the ratings before committing to more episodes. Walker, starring Jared Padalecki, is currently airing its fourth season Wednesdays at 8/7c, with Season 6 of All American airing Mondays at 8 pm. All American: Homecoming’s third season will premiere Monday, July 8 at 9 pm.
That’s not all, though: Unscripted series FBoy Island, Lovers & Liars, Masters of Illusion, Patti Stanger: The Matchmaker and Penn & Teller: Fool Us are also MIA from The CW’s schedule for next season, as are co-productions Wild Cards and Sight Unseen and acquisitions like The Chosen, Family Law, Children Ruin Everything and Son of a Critch.
So what is airing on The CW next season, you ask? Superman & Lois returns for its fourth and final season this fall, along with new series Joan (starring Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner) and reboot The Librarians: The Next Chapter. Sullivan’s Crossing will return for Season 2, and a pair of game shows inspired by board games will take over Monday nights, with Trivial Pursuit hosted by LeVar Burton and Scrabble hosted by Raven-Symoné. (Check out The CW’s full schedule here.)

I would like to see “Walker” renewed and given a Season 5. The CW needs more scripted shows … I’m sort of over the reality TV vein the ‘new owners’ seem to like. I’m hoping it gets renewed, we shall see. If not, maybe it can be shopped to another Network.
I would love if The CW Changed Their Mind and Renew Walker For Season 5 and More!!!!!
Sullivan’s Crossing has been really good this year. Though not every episode needs a cliffhanger.
I like “Walker” and hope it gets renewed for a Season 5. I don’t really care for the reality TV vein the ‘new owners’ of the CW seem to like. I guess it’s cheaper but that doesn’t make it better for viewers. Hoping the don’t sit on the fence too long to renew and leave viewers wondering. If they don’t renew, I hope the show’s producers attempt to shop to another Network and see if it could find footing elsewhere. Hoping for renewal … we shall see.
Sight Unseen and Family Law are great shows. Walker has become a little
tedious. Does someone always have to be after him?
Nobody has mentioned The Spencer Sisters. What’s going on with that?
The season finale aired in Canada on April 21, 2023. Lea Thompson was just announced to star in another show. Over a year with no renewal and one of the stars moving on to another show points to cancellation.
We were fans of “The Spencer Sisters” from the wonderful land to our north. Fingers crossed. — Ernie
Hoping Family Law & Wild Cards come back for the mid-season, both were terrific shows.
Renewal or cancellation of Walker will come down to financials nothing to do with ratings
I really hope All American and Walker both get renewed. I love those shows.Never miss any episodes.
Walker is one of my favorite shows I would hate to see it get canceled it seems like every time a show comes on me and my family likes watching it gets canceled Walker is an awesome show
Hope Walker comes back
Walker should get renewed it ratings are strong for CW, All American is weak viewers wise but still strong in the demo which is what matters. I feel that that should renew Walker but only renew All American if they willing to keep the same cast. If they trying to reboot it just go ahead and cancel it.
Wild cards should be renew as well it’s doing great for CW .
I feel like if all american keeps going just let Netflix take it. The only reason to renew would be for their deal
I would love Walker to be renewed, although it does not look promising since word is that the licensing fee needs to be raised by the network, and since CW is all about the cheap. I don’t see them raising the money needed to do a episode, which was reduced and it’s making the show hard to continue at that financial amount.
Don’t cancel Walker
Sad to hear that so help me Todd is being canceled. Can’t CBS rethink that? Please keep so help me Todd on the lineup for next fall.
They might as well cancel all of cw. I dont even look at the listings for them anymore.
The CW is like the Spirit Airlines of TV channels.
Please we need “All American to return P-L-E-A-S-E!!!
Happy to see that Sullivan’s Crossing is coming back, but upset that Wild Cards is still in limbo.
CW is a joke, end up having all these really good shows then get rid of them
Pointed that Walker hasn’t already been renewed, hoping the CW will make the right decision on the show There are so many More stories to tell by the talented ensemble cast team of writers !
Please renew Walker, Wild Cards, and Spencer Sisters
Bring back “”Family Law” PLEASE!
“Family Law” will return for a fourth season to Canada, so chances are good to watch it on the CW later, too.
Walker is a great show! It keeps you on your toes and wondering what will happen next. The actors are all great at their roles. It would be ashame to end this series!
At first Walker was slow but it picked up in the middle of the first season taking me with it, making me almost forget about the first Walker. I couldn’t wait to see the next episode. AND the next season. I hope it doesn’t leave. I would MISS it AND Jared.
