Will Trent
Will Trent is a crime drama that premiered on ABC in January 2023. Based on the bestselling novels by Karin Slaughter, the show follows the story of Special Agent Will Trent, played by Ramón Rodríguez. Will, who endured a traumatic childhood in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system, has gone on to become one of the top agents at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, led by deputy director Amanda Wagner (Sonja Sohn).
Due to his dyslexia, Special Agent Trent has developed unique investigative methods which set him apart as he works the GBI’s toughest cases, alongside his partner-in-crime solving, Faith Mitchell (Iantha Richardson). Because of his past, Will is determined to use his position to seek justice for victims who cannot speak for themselves and ensure that they do not suffer like he did.
Off duty, Will cares deeply for his canine companion, Betty the chihuahua. He also maintains an on-again/off-again relationship with Angie Polaski (Erika Christensen), a fellow foster care survivor who works for the Atlanta Police Department (APD). She’s partnered with Detective Michael Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin).
Will Trent airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC, and streams next day on Hulu.
