The Conners

The Conners is a spinoff of the iconic ABC sitcom Roseanne. The continuation premiered on Oct. 16, 2018, and chronicles the everyday lives of the working-class Conner family in the fictional town of Lanford, Ill. After the sudden death of Roseanne Conner, played by Roseanne Barr, the remaining members of the Conner clan — including Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky and D.J. — must navigate their lives without her.

Despite the controversy surrounding its predecessor’s end, The Conners has continued to provide audiences with a mixture of laughter and poignant moments, with a focus on family bonds and persistence through adversity. The series explores a variety of issues that reflect modern societal problems, including financial hardship, parenthood, divorce, addiction and aging.

Both 2018’s Roseanne revival and its spinoff, The Conners, have purposely ignored certain developments from the sixth season of Roseanne onwards. That includes Jackie’s marriage to Fred and the birth of their son, Andy; the birth of Roseanne and Dan’s fourth child, Jerry Garcia; the Conner family’s $108 million lottery win; and the death of Dan Conner.

The Conners airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on ABC, and streams next day on Hulu. Past seasons are available on The CW, Netflix and Tubi.
