Apart of Me is a free App designed by grief and mental health experts that provides a safe and supportive space for young people to explore their feelings and experiences of grief. Users get to work through a series of light tasks and interact with friendly characters in an immersive, magical world, where feelings of grief, loss, and loneliness can be explored, and where healing can ensue. We’ve seen a surge of downloads this year, with over 3000 since January, and 5-star reviews in the App Store! With users mostly based in the UK, US, China, and Brazil, we are ever motivated by the global need for new and innovative healing pathways for grieving young people today. This creative, peer mentoring programme for at-risk bereaved young people empowers them to work through their pain with peers who have faced similar experiences. ‘Guiding Grief’ provides a safe, supportive, community-space where young people can build from their experiences of grief together, and our current Guides are testament to the powerful healing potential this brings. From today, we’re fundraising as part of The Big Give’s ‘Kind2Mind’ match funding campaign for charities like us who offer valuable services to mental health.💙 This will help us expand our ‘Guiding Grief’ programme to schools - a creative, peer mentoring and community-building programme for at-risk bereaved young people. We’ll be asking for donations from 12pm today and we have up until 28th May, that’s 2 weeks only, to hit our target of £4400!
