Look out Kentucky, we’re headed your way! 📌 August 15th: Scientist Solutions Event – University of Louisville, School of Medicine Come and visit the biomodal table to learn about duet multiomics solution evoC. The single-base-resolution sequencing data reveals standard four-base sequencing (A, G, C, and T), and distinguishes between 5-methylcytosine (5mC) and 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC), on the same DNA molecule, in one workflow. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gguc_ivJ.. 📌 August 15th: Co-Sponsored Bourbon & Biotech Mixer Please join us at Bourbon on Rye in Lexington, Kentucky, for a mixer featuring light bites and conversations with industry partners. This event is co-sponsored by biomodal, Diagenode, Element Bioscience, Nabsys, Tempus, Curio Bioscience, and Bio Rad. RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/g5hWudE8.. 📌 August 16th: Scientist Solutions Event – University of Kentucky School of Medicine Visit the biomodal table to learn about duet evoC! Distinguish 5-methylcytosine (5mC) and 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) together with all 4 canonical bases to measure multiple modes of biology from a single low-input DNA sample in a single experiment. Biotechnology Research
Reveal the power of the 6-base genome and discover biology in every mode
About us
biomodal is focused on building technologies as research tools for life scientists & clinical developers. Our technology allows you to capture the 6-base genome and provide insight into the complexity and dynamism of cellular interactions. Our platform works with your existing infrastructure, integrating a pre-sequencing workflow with post-sequencing informatics to generate highly accurate genetic and epigenetic data from a single sample in a single run.

We had the pleasure of hosting an onsite visit at biomodal with Northwestern University! 💜 Xinkun 'Sequen' Wang, Ph.D. Director of the NUSeq Core Facility Center for Genetic Medicine, and Research Associate Professor in the Dept. of Cell & Developmental Biology at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University toured our facilities and discussed his work on neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s. Hosts John McShane, MS, Tom Charlesworth, and Robert Osborne were able to share our vision for duet evoC technology and lead a tour of our R&D facilities.

Thanks to all who visited the biomodal table last week at QB3-Berkeley to learn about duet multiomics solution evoC and uncover a true 6-base genome for unprecedented insights into current and future biological states. We loved hearing about your work and from industry leaders like Illumina, and Element Biosciences!

Multiomics is advancing our understanding of cell biology and disease, paving the way for new diagnostics and targeted therapies. This fantastic article by Alison Halliday, PhD in Technology Networks highlights how multiomics, including epigenetics, is revolutionizing our understanding of biological mechanisms. DNA contains molecular information encoded in both genetic and epigenetic bases, essential for understanding biology. However, interrogating both of these informational layers simultaneously has traditionally been challenging. With the recent introduction of duet multiomics solution evoC, which uniquely reads genetic and epigenetic cytosine modifications, this challenge has been overcome. Read more about it in our tech note “Using UMIs with duet multiomics solution evoC reduces sequencing requirements and increases coverage” here: https://lnkd.in/gYWnagRv.. biomodal, #sequencing, #evoC, #epigenetics

🌎 🎉 Happy #WorldRNADay 🎉 🌍 Today we celebrate the remarkable molecule that drives innovation and discovery in biotech: RNA! Fun fact: August 1st was chosen as World RNA Day because it correlates with three of the four nucleobases that make up ribonucleic acid AUG (adenine, uracil and guanine). Huge thank you to the NIH/National Institute on Aging (NIA) Gestalt Lab for hosting our seminar last week! Our very own Mark Consugar, Lead Field Application Scientist spoke about how to distinguish 5-methylcytosine (5mC) and 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) together with all 4 canonical bases to measure multiple modes of biology from a single 5ng DNA sample, in a single experiment, with high accuracy. As well as how to identify novel multimodal biomarkers to gain transformative insights into current and future states of disease. biomodal, #epigenetics, #epigenomics, #omics
