Unveiling our ✨ brand-new triwall ✨ Fables for our Time is a new public commission on the museum’s second floor, featuring three panels, each of which tells a particular story about an ecosystem that is vital to a thriving planet: bees, coral and mushrooms 🐝🪸🍄 The three scenes are presented as contemporary folktales, with narrators in the foreground who advocate for the primacy of natural systems in the human story. Commissioned by #FutureObservatory, the museum’s national research programme for the green transition, Fables for our Time was created by architecture and design studio Space Popular with architectural historian Shumi Bose. 🧵 COMING SOON 🧵 Did you know that the fashion and textile industry is the third-largest emitter of greenhouse gases globally? What does the future hold for fashion in the age of climate crisis? We're excited to announce 'Tomorrow’s Wardrobe', an upcoming free display which will explore the potential for a more sustainable fashion industry, showcasing research taking place across different parts of the industry, to reduce this damage. The display will look at initiatives across the production, design and use of clothes to reduce the industry’s environmental and social impact.
