Belong with us. Providing care as individual as the people we care for.

About us

Excelcare supports over 2,500 people, delivering care that is as individual as the people we care for with kindness and compassion. Our team are dedicated to making a difference to the quality of daily life for each and every individual. Excelcare was proudly established in 1989 as a family-run business. We are still family-run to this day, and instill our family values onto our colleagues, the people we care for, their relatives and friends. As an Excelcare-family, we care for each other, offering support, openness and honesty not only to each other but also to the people who live in our care home and their extended family. We welcome each individual to become part of our family, and each treat each person with dignity and respect, regardless of their age, background or beliefs. We provide high quality, person-centred care at 32 individual and unique care homes situated in Cambridge, Essex, London and Milton Keynes. We also operate a home care service which is based in London.

It’s an exciting week at St George’s Court Care Home, as the team recently received the news that they achieved a ‘Good’ rating in their inspection by the local authority. This is a significant step in the care home’s journey of improvement, and we’re delighted the positive changes the home has made have been reflected in the inspection report. Jayne Wardell, Home Manager at St George’s Court, expressed her delight with the inspection results, stating, “I am thrilled with the outcome of our recent local authority PAMMS inspection. Since joining the team at St George’s Court, my mission has been to enhance every aspect of daily life for the people who live here. The positive outcome of our recent PAMMS inspection shows significant progress has been made. I know St George’s Court is a good home where people live life to the fullest, and I am excited to see how our improvements are reflected in our next CQC inspection.” #Excelcare #StGeorgesCourtCareHome #Care #Family #PAMMS

On Friday 19th July, leadership teams from the Excelcare Family gathered at the Marriott Hotel in Waltham Abbey for our second installment of the Care Quality Framework conference. During the day, we learned about the importance of evidencing everything that takes place inside our care homes, ensuring the care we deliver is both of the best quality and compliant with CQC regulations. As well as learning, we laughed, danced, and became self-proclaimed masters of the ‘Boomwhacker’. If you haven’t tried this at your company conference, you really should! Team members who attended said they found the day to be: “Inspiring” “Insightful” “Fun” “Memorable” We would like to thank everyone who attended and participated. It was a wonderful way to learn and collaborate with colleagues, whilst having a bit of fun too! Watch our highlight reel below. #Excelcare #Care #Carehome #Family #Conference #Learn #Leadership

Volunteers are like gold dust in our care homes, especially when they’re like Skyla! Skyla visits Goldenley Care Home regularly with her mum, Kirsty who works there. During her visits, Skyla always raises smiles, has made great friends with the people who live there and even gets involved in the games and activities that are hosted by the team. For being such a kind, caring and supportive person, our Chief Operating Officer, Sam recently sent Skyla a special present to say thank you! Keep being amazing Skyla! #Excelcare #Care #CareHome #Kind #Caring #Family

Yesterday's Care Quality Framework conference was a fantastic success! 🌟 Our Excelcare Leaders came together to learn, grow, and strengthen our team bonds. The conference was insightful, providing our homes with important information around both CQC and internal updates and our new ways of working to meet changing guidelines, and the team-building activities were a blast. It was amazing to see everyone's enthusiasm and commitment to improving our care standards. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to making it a memorable day. Let's carry this energy forward and continue striving for excellence in everything we do. Together, we make a difference! 💪❤️ #Excelcare #TeamBuilding #ContinuousImprovement #ExcellenceInCare #Superheroes

Although we had our hearts broken in Berlin last night, we were gracious in defeat and you could see our three lions gave it all they could. We would like to thank everyone who cheered on our national team throughout the competition and we hope many happy memories were made. Despite our loss, we will carry on cheering for our boys and thanking them for the moments of unmatched joy they gave us. These moments go a very long way in the care sector, so thank you! Congratulations to Spain on your double victory yesterday, this is your day. But we will come back and try to bring football home again. #Excelcare #Carehome #Care #England #Care #Family England Football

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting three students from Ravens Wood School in Bromley for a week of work experience at our Support Office. Taylor, Olly, and Frankie spent the week with each of our core teams at Support Office, learning how each function supports the aims, objectives, and values of the Excelcare Family. They also showed initiative and set up a five-a-side charity football game which took place today at Goals, Beckenham, and for their efforts, raised over £600. A very Impressive achievement! Marian is a proud member of The Order of Women Freemason, and as the Master of the Lodge last year, Marian got to choose which charity they raised money for. Marian's mother lives with dementia at Dovecote Manor, so she chose Dementia UK. They recently presented the cheque to a Dementia UK, click the link below to read more: https://lnkd.in/edD9Pag4 #Excelcare #CareHome #Care #DementiaUK #Charity #DovecoteManorCareHome

Person-led activities can have a profound impact on a person living in a care home, as they provide people with the opportunity to host sessions that align with their passions and interests - in turn, boosting feelings of self-fulfillment and purpose. We have delved deeper into the impact of person-led activities in our most recent case study and explored how this type of activity enriched Nicky's life.
