📣 The results are in! 📣 👉 We recently conducted a survey to find out what PR and Comms professionals constitute as 'flexible working'. 💡 Rather than looking at what flexible working policies are currently offered by employers, this survey was designed to understand what was actually considered flexible from the perspective of the workforce. With this information we can better understand how to attract and retain talent within the PR and Communications industry. Some key findings: 💻 Almost one third said their current employer doesn't meet their flexible working needs. 💻 When considering hybrid working, most people would like to come into the office just twice a week. 💻 Having flexible working hours is just as important as hybrid working. 👀 Take a look at the full results and what this means for employers and employees in the attached document. 🎉 After a manic few weeks I have TWO new episodes of the PRCA / Parents in PR Podcast to tell you about! 🙏 The first is with the wonderful Lee Beattie from John Doe - Lee speaks so passionately about advocating for working parents, I really enjoyed our conversation. We discussed: 👶 how, despite the very best of intentions, you can never truly understand the juggle of being a working parent (and how exhausting it is!) until you are one. 👶 why parental benefits packages should be based on a founding principle of inclusivity and equality. 👶 the importance of setting boundaries (and being open about it). 👂 You can listen here: YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eK4BbCJY Spotify: https://lnkd.in/ezBYfV-Z Thank you so much, Lee ❤️ The second I'll share more on tomorrow (because, sleep 😴😅)

We're thrilled to see Alexandra Stevens taking such a strong initiative in supporting working parents in the PR industry. Her recent roundtable discussion on what "good" looks like for employers to support working parents is a fantastic step towards a more inclusive and supportive industry. Message Alexandra Stevens directly or leave a comment if you'd like to join the Parents in PR LinkedIn / WhatsApp group!
💫 I'm on a mission! 💫 👶 Since coming back from maternity leave in October last year, I’ve been working on a new networking group, Parents in PR. I wanted to create a safe space for working parents in the PR and comms industry to feel heard and supported by their peers. It's a 'passion project', but I'm very serious about making a difference. I know from experience the challenges that come with being a working parent, and in my job as a PR and comms recruiter I often hear of fantastic, very capable parents (often women) leaving the industry because they're struggling with the juggle between work and personal life. 💪 So, I'm on a mission to make the PR and comms industry a more supportive and inclusive place for parents to work. 🤝 As part of this, I recently hosted a Roundtable to start the conversation around what ‘good’ looks like when it comes to supporting parents at work. The end goal is to make positive change across the PR industry by setting a benchmark for employers to meet as a minimum standard. 📖 I’ve attached a write up of this Roundtable, which includes more information on Parents in PR, why this support is needed and a summary of the conversation. 👋 For any parents in PR that would like to join the LinkedIn or WhatsApp group, please get in touch for more info! 🙏 Huge thanks to Marcia La-Rose FPRCA, CMPRCA at Four Agency Worldwide for hosting the Roundtable and to the wonderful industry leaders I had taking part in the discussion: Amy Ronge - Ready10 Ana Williams - Spark Communications (UK) Jessica Hope - Wimbart Joe Moor - Hanbury Strategy Kathryn Myers - Milk & Honey PR Katie Fox - Tin Man Lucy Newson - Alfred London Rohan Shah - Reuben Sinclair | Sales, Marketing, PR, Data and Digital Recruitment #ParentsInPR #PRJobs #WorkingParents PRCA

⭐ One of our clients has been trying to hire someone since Q1, and my colleague Molly Glynne-Jones just filled the role within 3 weeks 👏 👏 ⭐ Another colleague, Ijeoma Erengwa, just received an offer from a client for a role she was briefed on two weeks ago 👏 👏 I know times are hard and businesses are looking to save money wherever they can. But these are just two of many examples that demonstrate how an external recruitment partner can add value. We all know time is money, so if we can speed up the hiring process for our clients and allow them more time to focus on what they do best (usually not recruitment!), it's a win-win. Amazing work, Molly and Ijeoma 🎉 Reuben Sinclair | Sales, Marketing, PR, Data and Digital Recruitment #PRrecruitment #PRrecruiter #PRjobs

6 months ago, we shared a post about our dedication to high standards and achieving industry recognition. Back then, we reflected on our incredible 2023 award wins, including: • Best Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy – The Global Recruiter • Best Specialist Recruitment Business – The Global Recruiter • Best for Flexible Working - Working Families Best Practice Awards • Best Workplace of the Year – Vincere Awards • Rising Star of the Year (Ijeoma Erengwa) – British Recruitment Awards We mentioned that was just the beginning. Here's what we've been up to lately: → New Hiring Process We've refined our interview process to ensure our shortlisting, interview questions, and scoring are structured to be based purely on skillset, aligning with the needs of each individual role and eliminating unconscious bias. → Data-driven ED&I We've invested in software to capture accurate candidate and client ED&I data. This allows us to track progress in this crucial area and make data-driven decisions to ensure progression in this space. → Prioritising Psychological Safety We've re-structured our onboarding process to include comprehensive ED&I training, and to make sure new starters feel psychologically safe. This fosters a welcoming culture where everyone feels comfortable being themselves and contributing with unique perspectives. → Skills Development We've revamped our internal training programme to provide greater opportunities for employees to develop their skill sets. This not only benefits them but also allows us to deliver an even higher standard of service to our clients. We're passionate about making a positive impact, and we won't slow down anytime soon. #awards #recruitmentagency #EDI #workplaceculture
