Two weeks of Jonny! We’re delighted to have Jonathan King back in the office with us after a period working remotely while undergoing the last of his treatments for testicular cancer. It’s been a complicated journey to get to this point for Jonny, with successive rounds of treatment culminating in major surgery. To celebrate and honour Jonny’s resilience, and support those who have supported him, the team at Wenham Carter have decided to get muddy, injured, and potentially electrocuted (?) at the South London Tough Mudder event together in September. We’re fundraising for Jonny’s charity of choice Orchid Cancer, who exist to save lives from testicular, prostate and penile cancers through a range of support services, pioneering research and promoting awareness. To inform our roundtable discussion at this year’s Women Automotive Network Summit in Detroit, Wenham Carter and DEI Consultant Lucy Franklin conducted detailed, qualitative interviews with eight industry leaders who have made significant contributions to advancing women in Automotive. The broad themes that came out of these interviews were: - Overcoming barriers to hiring, attracting and retaining women - Translating representation into positive business outcomes Both Eileen Gilbert and Jayada Pandit pointed to diversity of thought as being critical for an industry in transformation, and both brought deep insight into how to leverage this as a pivotal business asset.
