Wandsworth prison guard accused of having sex with inmate breaks silence

The prison guard accused of having sex with an inmate on camera at a Wandsworth jail has spoken out against internet fraudsters using her identity.

Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, who faces charges of misconduct in public office following the release of an intimate video in late June, is now out on bail.

The former guard has condemned online copycats who she claims have recreated her sex tape or produced fetish content while posing as her.

“I hope that you appreciate this is going to be a very awkward and uncomfortable conversation for me to have,” she said in a TikTok video.

"I want to clarify a lot of things. There’s been a tremendous amount of fake profiles of me that have been monetising off my misfortune, a scandal that the entire world has somehow managed to be involved in.

"I have not monetised it one single bit. If you do come across fake profiles of me, please don’t fall for it.”

The Portuguese-born married mother, who lives in Fulham, is said to have committed the act with a prisoner between June 26 and 28.

The Sun has named the other party as prisoner Linton Weirich, who is currently serving a four year sentence for burglary.

De Sousa continued: "There’s been a lot of GoFundme pages and OnlyFans accounts that are not me, and I do apologise if you have fallen for it, from the bottom of my heart I apologise.

"I want to address this very distasteful subject of OnlyFans creators impersonating and pretending to be me and re-creating the sad scandal that I am said to be involved in.

"It is incredibly distasteful. Please refrain from tagging HMP Wandsworth, there are other jails in the world.

"You do not know my side of the story. You don’t know who has you, you don’t know who your real friends are until s**t hits the fan.

"Honestly family, friends, you need to pick them very carefully, very carefully. You think they have your back and they just don't. That's really heartbreaking."

De Sousa is set to return to Isleworth Crown Court on July 29 while Weirich is understood to not be facing any repercussions.
