I have compiled the USA TODAY Sports coaches polls since well before most current collegiate athletes were born. I also write features and previews for football, basketball and other college sports. I am a Heisman elector and am a recipient of the Doyle Smith Media Award for my coverage of college lacrosse. I don't get to many press boxes, but I do still make it to lacrosse's Championship Weekend as I have every year since 1992. I enjoy music, playing games (occasionally on TV) and craft beer.
